Cheering in nearly empty pool tournaments

Snooker audiences seem to have figured out a good balance of volume and timing during a match. The Mosconi Cup is more of a football-type audience that suits American style pool and attitudes. Where you find your comfort as a player or as a spectator is most likely what you're used to. Both...

Wording on Covid waivers (if any) to use tables at your local rec center or poolroom?

Here is a large variety from our provincial government for all businesses. The pool hall has it's own which simply state, "Due to social distancing rules, this table is temporarily out of service." Every other table is currently closed to allow for the 2m/6ft rule. Hope that helps.

    Furniture recommendation

I'm not sure of the dimensions on the Diamond polishers but I do know they're very heavy. Houses were constructed with 24"-on-center walls so that kind of spacing would work for building a small cabinet to go underneath. If the polisher is about 36" wide, just divide it into a long single...

I bought this set of Aramith Premium on Marketplace, any way to tell if they are legi

Aside from the colors being faded, the font, as Bob mentioned, is off. It does look pretty close to the Aramith Super-Pro set however the 7 ball is the most telling. There's a hump in the middle of the top of the number that I don't see on any Aramith ball set. This is an Aramith 7 ball from...

the pool scene in the Covid world

I stop by about once per week to have a quick beer and watch the regulars play from a distance. I don't join in as they are usually playing sets and I don't want to be there long. Just enough time to donate to the owner with a purchase. I have a table at home but I've been working on other...

Did you know that one of Bill Gates favorite books is, "How to Lie with Statistics". It seems you'd be a fan. Are you going to be a nitrate expert soon since the news in Lebanon? You both need to stay away from biology.

    Question about pins

3/8 of an inch is the "big" part; the width of the post. The number after, x10, or 10tpi, is the measure of the number of threads per inch, hence TPI. A radial is the standard, "big pin", which is 3/8" x 8. It has fewer, wider-spaced threads. Generally the bigger the pin size, the fewer the...

Breaking News: Lawyers, Loopholes, Covid 19 & Room Owners

It seems like the more people think this is a conspiracy the more likely they are getting sick and dying. I mean, why would people listen to someone who spent their whole life learning and understanding science when we have Bill from the Internet? That guys knows the REAL truth. As far as pool...

Dennis Swift case, did I get a fake??!!

Usually this happens because the photos are too large, either in size or bytes. Shrink them to 50% of their normal size (even Windows paint can do that in a few seconds) and then try uploading them again. Use a lossful file type if the pictures are too large of a file-size like JPEG, JPG, or...

Mr. Wilson, Justinb386 here. Why do you call me a Scammer?

Dude I didn't beg for the pastry, it was just there man... and besides I checked it on the counter and it didn't roll right anyway. I used it for a bit but then I ran into some financial trouble so I had to sell it for extra pickled asparagus. I even took a picture for you so you'd know I...

Mr. Wilson, Justinb386 here. Why do you call me a Scammer?

I usually steer clear of there; a little too much crazy for me. I have been looking on occasion lately while I wait for these PCs to take their image and update out of sheer boredom. I don't read, just look at pictures. Currently waiting to see if W10-Build 2004 is a game-breaker for enterprise...
