    Long Cue Shafts

I have a 28" reach on each arm without my shoulders so playing with a short cue can be a problem for me. I can reach most shots on a 9' or 10' but I'm pushing a shorter cue very far forward which limits my stroke and follow-through. My two main playing cues have 29.5" butts (the carom cue is a...

    Bar rules

I have a stand-up display on my table with some basic rules, the guest Wi-Fi, how to get music, etc. On them clearly states, "If you can't look it up in the rulebook, it's not a rule. There are two copies of the rules here and internet available. This is not Billy's Bar and there are no bar...

    R Cue Doctor Shaft cleaner

I wet a dry eraser with Methyl-Hydrate instead of water. Works well, but the Cue Doctor concoction still pulls grime out after. It's a shame it can't be sourced anymore. Fast Orange seems a little harsh to me, but I have a spare shaft I can experiment with.

    EMILY DUDDY Professional

Theoretical Thread Recap I can't watch the show on the web because I'm in Canada and I don't actually have cable to view it on there. I can assume it's a standard, "white men are garbage and treat women bad" episode with a little, "girl power roar!" and then they show the boys up because...

Are there any pool players who still want to win a big score

A building with stucco might work as long as the roof was covered too. It's not the plaster, it's the chicken wire it's usually stuck to which makes for a nice Faraday cage. No Wifi outside or cell service.

    Newbie needs advice

I agree. My only major concern is the slop holes and how large they are but with a good installer and a stable surface under the table he should be fine. My first table had an MDF bed so I know where you're coming from. :D

    Pool Ball Collecting.

I don't check the forums every day so I'm a little late. My father had the same box for his set, purchased in the late 60's. His were a standard numbered set, made by Aramith.

    Newbie needs advice

One important thing to remember is that this is a forum for pool players. Not average "once-in-while-if-I'm-drinking" pool players, but serious tournament and gambling players who shoot quite a bit better than your local "top dog". So the responses you get here will seem a little on the snarky...

    Pool Ball Polisher

This is my first prototype, made to match the future wainscoting and overall color/decor. It is mahogany with chestnut trim, satin semi-gloss sides and a gloss top. I can reproduce it for less than a commercial polisher and in a variety of stain/color choices.

Let's see your setup (with a twist)

I drew some, copied others. They are just blocks that float over the camera. The scores, for example, are a single block of text that I can open and edit. The software records the change in realtime so you don't have to close the text box to update scores.

Let's see your setup (with a twist)

The last picture was with the focal length set to infinite. The camera (then) was 6' high, and trying to focus 25' deep. It couldn't go past the first set of diamonds with any clarity. I think looking straight down it will be fine though. OBS doesn't remember custom camera settings. I have to...
