    Tony Chohan signs with Meucci.................

I am well aware of that -- yet the fact remains, sometimes they're never the same. Lou Figueroa how poetic

    Tony Chohan signs with Meucci.................

Sometimes I wonder if even these super human players can adjust to new equipment. I believe the history of sports is littered with champions who changed sponsors and equipment and were never the same. Lou Figueroa

Has Anyone Ever Caught The Rabbit?

I think you're correct -- there are all kinds of rabbits out there. What I originally meant was: playing at the highest level you believe you are capable of given your experience and the amount of time you have to devote to the game. Earlier, in another thread, I asked about consistency and...

Has Anyone Ever Caught The Rabbit?

I think most of us here, amateur players, are chasing The Rabbit (cue the "Impossible Dream") looking to consistently play at whatever level we believe is just renumeration for our devotion to the game. We play, compete, practice... wash, rinse and repeat. We experience the occasional highs...

Turning wrist inwards during stroke. Need advice.

There's a fellow at the pool room that did this. I told him to shorten his grip and that has worked quite well. Lou Figueroa YMMV

    Just Curious...

Does your game ever fluctuate? I mean -- like for a while -- you are firing on all cylinders. No shot is missable. Any position play is doable. And then... you come back the next day, or maybe even mid-session the same day, become screamingly helpless? Lou Figueroa just wonderin'

Well, a "thumbs-up" would have indicated approval or agreement with your post, which isn't what I wanted to do. I guess in some cases it might even be construed as passive aggressive... Then on the other hand, a thumbs-down would indicated disapproval which also wouldn't have been accurate...

2025 DERBY CITY ALL 3 FINALS ON LAST SUNDAY THOUGHTS....

I am just going hoping to have a semi-decent experience -- it is not the same as it was and it is considerably less fun. Something overheard at the pool hall just the other day: " Yeah, I'm going to the Derby. Funny thing is that as soon as I get there I want to leave." On the flip side I...

Jayson Shaw live High Run Attempts

IMO he shot that combo out of pure and simple hubris -- he was on a roll and the table, even one as soft as the one he was shooting on, brought him down to earth. He was tooling along and sometimes when that's happening you think you can just fire away and get away with a lot. With his goal...

No. It's because Mosconi walked into a different room every night, 300 times a year, for many years, and on his first approach to the table -- whatever it was -- would most often run 100. The night he set his record it was at the urging of the crowd -- he didn't care about high runs. I...

IF the chalk you are using gives you a bit more grab, particularly at slower stroke speeds, and the balance of your cue helps swing the cue, just so as you’re descending into shooting position, to get you lined up for a truer stroke… Lou Figueroa
