Why did Efren pull out?

I installed a Juma ferrule on a friends shaft and it seems to attract chalk. This material is advertised as chalk resistant. Am I just not polishing it right or is there a method to make this material luster and not hold chalk?

chalk doesn't stick to it, it polishes nicely, holds value, more expensive. Some people prefer the hit, I've been playing with mine for over one year now and I have no problems, I'd say the best benefit is that it is chalk resistant.
