I thought this system is meant to aid me in finding the correct shot line? How am I meant to know where the shot line is prior to doing the steps of the system to put my back leg in the correct position? Thanks for the reply though :) P.S - when I use CTE/Pro1, I see the CTE Line, and thats...

    work ethic

I imagine alot of the top top pool guys stay in shape by excercising a lot, by doing a lot of cardiovascular work (running, skipping and so on). I'd also think that they set there drills to improve on what the feel they need to improve (Breaking, Draw, Jumping etc) Be nice to hear from a pro...

    Aiming Voodoo Video

Just thought I'd let people know that I tried this system out tonight and its fantastic. I struggled with a few shots (similar to what champ2107 posted). I also felt this system is best used when the user KNOWS which process to do for each shot (ETE, ETC, ETOE). I struggled a lot with the hip...

Thanks for the diagrams...but I thought that this system was all about the Hip Pivot? If thats the case, the 2nd picture shows the Pivot Point at the bridge hand. Merry XMAS!

Could someone (RonV prefferably) explain fully what the hip pivot is? I live in the UK, so calling NYC or anywhere in the US for any length of time is going to cost a hell of alot of cash on my phone bill. I mainly use CTE, its the only aiming system I have been taught, I use CTE on all shots...

Exactly. Your still sighting the ball correctly, and doing everything right when down on the shot with the bridge/rest.

Please be quiet. How someone can have an opinion on something they have never tried is beyond me. Duckie, go and have a try of this system for 2 hours maximum. If you do the process of the CTE/Pro1 correctly, I believe your views of this 'hocus pocus' system will very quickly change.

If this is aimed at me Joey, I can assure I wont be showing people the system as I havent seen the DVD and dont know it fully. It would be wrong for me to pass information on that Im not 100% sure on :) I'll be purchasing Stan's DVD as soon as it is released, and I will learn it. The Secret...

I have always thought that a Pivot Point is where the shaft of the cue meets the bridge hand, and then your back hand makes the adjustment - I think im wrong based on the below quote??. When setting up these shots demonstrated in Cleary's vid tonight when I was playing some, I felt very awkward...

Happens to us all Joey ;) Some more than others (like myself, I struggle with consistency!). This post also proves that CTE isnt a miracle cure! I would stop using it Joey, especially if you have been practicing it a heck of a lot. Just a bad day at the office pal ;)

No, he demonstrates that the pivoting is all in his back hand, thats not the pivot point...the pivot point is where the person holding the stick with his/hers bridge hand, the distance from the tip end to the point when the shaft meets the players hand...thats the pivot point. I can see where...

I dont think this is a very fair TEST of this system. My opinion is, and alot will back me up (I hope...gulp) but no one in this world pivots at 29 inches or 1 inch for that matter...I want to see video of the people who do. Now, try this method using your own bridge length...and then post...

    which break tip?

I use Samsara Tips on my Break Shaft (x2) and love them. One did pop off after about 9 months of solid play and popped off after a very bad 10 ball break I done. I am trying a Mild Dud (Pressed Triangle that has been soaked in milked and then baked) this evening. If its no good, I'll replace...

Fact or Fiction: Gambling Makes You A Better Player

I have to agree with what Masayoshi says above. ALL 3 together adds something to YOUR game as a whole. Practice instills muscle memory and adds knowledge the more you do it. Gambling instills a 'Never say Die' attitude as no one ever wants to loose cash. It also helps with pressure...

State of the Art in Case Making

Im currently making a list of what I require in a custom case for all of my gear, and all things I would require is something that John 'n' co can do. Next year I will be getting my first Custom Case next year, and will be doing abit of shopping about to find best value for money. Saying that...

    Custom or production cue?

JoeW - I couldnt agree more with you except on the Shaft front. For me, my cue wouldnt be the cue it is without the shafts provided by the cue maker (Wayne Holmes Custom Cues of North Carolina). Ive always used Maple, so its what I am used to, you may have always used Predators, therefore always...

    Low deflection rant

I do find it quite amazing how some very good pool pro's use the ''LD'' Shafts. I know they are getting paid to use the products etc but it still amazes me how there are hardly any pro's now a days (or atleast outnumber very highly) use regular maple shafts. I dabbled with an OB1 for about 5...
