Possibly. The template holes are oversized, so you’d still be relying on getting them in the right position by hand. However, it would be slightly easier not navigating the thick template and not worrying about moving it.

This is true. My table is playing fine. It just occurred to me that it looked pretty awful for 7 months and wondered how other cloths wore over time.

It’s pretty hard to replicate the joy of playing on new cloth; those delicate draw or stuns over distance that just aren’t possible on older cloth. And there’s the golden time when for a few weeks it’s not overly slick anymore but still responsive.

And the HR is slightly faster than regular 860, right? Given I play a mix of games, but spend a lot of time playing straight pool, if I were to get some Simonis over, HR might be the best bet of the three main Simonis cloths.
