    Eye glasses for pool

Find a optician who handles glasses/frames from Randolph Engineering. The make glasses for the military, aviation and shooting. They have a shooting frame that has an adjustable nose piece to allow progressive lenses to adjust up to sight in on the front sight. Dropped down they look like...

Custom Cue, what makes it custom?

I understand the definition. My point is that there are very few craftsman who can produce a four point splice, much less with even points.

Custom Cue, what makes it custom?

And what of the "custom" made in the small shop, with a Schmelke blank and parts from Muller's? Are those custom builders riding on the history of GB using Burton Spain blanks? Or Rambow and Brunswick?

Is $169 a bad price for a CF shaft?

I don't have a CF shaft yet. That may change at SBE after I test drive a couple. If SBE is a go this spring. Problem with your idea is I'm really pissed at China and I'm trying to avoid sending anymore money their way. Sorry for a NPR toned answer but it's a fact. And yeah I know where this...

anybody know where MEZZ cases are made?

Years ago I just found JB so obnoxious, then when I saw Whitten at a booth at SBE. Oh yeah I bought a beauty.

What is in your pool kit? Like what do you carry when you just want to go play pool?

So when we retired we moved to Virginia from New Jersey. Early on we're driving and my wife says how the drivers here are so courteous, they let you in and never give you the finger. I was laughing, she asks what's so funny? I explain here in Virginia everyone's carrying a gun. "A well armed...

Johnny, I call B/S on the spare dentures.

Bummer, I thought this was about, you know, RACKS. I better go back to NPR.

What is in your pool kit? Like what do you carry when you just want to go play pool?

Harley-Davidson cue, a worn out glove, chalk, cue cube in an aluminum tube cue case. The case makes a great bat, should you need it. Glock 42 under a baggy shirt and a couple hundred bucks.

    Break cue recommendation...

Lakeman's suggestion of the Predator app is the way to go. Anyway about 12 years ago I bought a Cuetec j/b Graphite #99265 which is a wrapped maple. It's 19 Oz. which matches my player. The tip measures 13.49mm. It works, for me. But, my breaking improved 300 percent with a Outsville Accu-Rack...

Cynergy 15k, Mezz Ignite, or Jacoby Black

I haven't gone CF yet. If I do and it's for the Mezz, I'd surely get the Ignite.

Cynergy 15k, Mezz Ignite, or Jacoby Black

I have a EC7 w/ united joint myself. It locks up better than any other cue that I've ever felt. Why would you ever want to use a 5/16X14 that sort of fits? Just because it can screw together doesn't mean it's a great idea.

    Practicing?

I have GC4 and Valley 88 in the basement. Now most games and practice is on the GC. I bought the Valley at the start of the pandemic for two reasons. Something for my mostly non playing friends to play on. And for me to work with the magnetic cue ball on a short table. I often play at a bar...

Does anybody still use Triangle chalk

A bit off topic here. I like Blue Diamond but have a box of Masters always available. But 14 years ago I was given a package of Silver Cup. With two tables in my basement I've been putting out the Silver Cup in the hope that visiting friends would borrow/steal some on a pool night. 14 freakin'...

My new high run - Watch out Jayson!

A couple of times the Cowboy has made a valid point but wrote it in gibberish. Sadly I defended him. Whoa, not this time Cowboy. 84 is freaking huge. 5" pockets? It's freakin' huge. Quite frankly I think the only time you ran 28 or was it 20? You woke up shortly after and it went away.

My new high run - Watch out Jayson!

I agree 84 is freakin' fab. And 14 is smokin' too. Of course Willie used a wood stick and no-name chalk. And you need photos of the pockets calibrated to a thousandth of an inch. Else some arrogant asshole will whine for a hundred posts.

    Shaw gets 10G's from OB.....................

As a geezer I remember hearing and reading for decades how anyone talented enough to break Willie's record would be showered with fortune and fame. Ah, pool, a life sleeping under tables, living in your car or hitting the highlife in a Motel 6. Meantime top football players are making a...

Could Joe Rogan help with pool?

Pool's heyday was during the depression and up until TV was everywhere. The two boosts were movies. Could Tom Cruise resurrect pool with a second showing? He's nowhere near the star of a Paul Newman. And since Covid the movies aren't a big draw. I like Joe doing Earl impressions but only pool...
