    Ultimate Pool USA - Arizona

Diamonds would be better. Most players do not need buckets in order to play with a 30 sec shot clock. It may add a bit of drama when the clock starts at 15 seconds. The pockets at this event looked to be 5"+. It was fun to watch in any case.

    Ultimate Pool USA - Arizona

I watched some of that. Well played Easy. Have you heard if they plan to keep the pockets that size? Some of the shots that fell in a couple of the matches were ridiculous.

    Sad day indeed

Well rats. We knew it was coming but it's sad to say goodbye to such a character. RIP funny man.

How many YouTube "Pool" related Channels are there?

WTF I would have killed for this information 25 years ago. I was lucky enough to be within driving distance of Bert when I was coming up. Then we had his VHS tapes and some from a few others. Not even 1% of what people have at their fingertips today. There are a lot of quality channels out...

New Cue Syndrome -- Real or Imagined

New Cue-itis usually causes the symptom of motivation to get on the table more. I keep my customs put away for safety and only play with a couple Cuetecs these days. When I grab my secondary cue it feels fantastic and I think I should switch it in as my main player. Then I take the player out of...

Harold Worst 7 Rail Draw Shot - Fact or Fiction? Can anyone replicate this shot today?

Didn't Larry do a similar draw shot but did it driving the CB into a line of balls to stop the forward momentum? I am certain I saw a vid on YT showing the shot.

Which table is easier if you had to beat the ghost for $1 million?

When I am playing every day I can beat the ghost on my ProAm. I probably play a couple hours a week right now but I will wager I can beat the ghost on a GC w/5" pockets today. I have great difficulty adjusting to the speed, rebound, and traffic on the 7 footers. When I let my stroke out I get...

    End of DAZN finally?

That's not horrible. Provided they secure their data.

    Are Jump Cues Worth It

I almost mentioned the Valley caveat. I play 99% of my pool on diamonds and each location seems to bank shorter or longer than the last.

🔴 Metal in middle of Revo shaft --- real or not? 🟢

Whew, now we can all get some sleep. jk, glad you can rest easy knowing it's not a fake.

    Are Jump Cues Worth It

One thing worth noting is the differences in how tables bank. When I am playing in a tournament on unfamiliar equipment kicking requires adjustments. Jumping does not. I am an over 600 player but this fact does not change regardless of rating.

Attn fatboy... think they figured out they made a mistake? ;)

I had a pad come loose in my polished causing the 9ball in a Centennial set to get fubared. That was $35 to replace ten years ago iirc. I think this orange pair has been out for a year now though.

    Are Jump Cues Worth It

Jump cues are worth it. Name brand jump cues are not. Ask to try what your friends are using and choose one you like. I've tried many and they don't need to be expensive to be good. The one I use was under $100 shipped and I'll play $horse$ with jump cues against anyone on this forum. I have the...

BEST 7 FOOT TABLE FOR 4K OR LESS

I'm simply looking for something I can practice on that will prepare me better for the local tourneys. I cannot get myself to trade down from a 9 footer in my home to a bar box, so I thought I'd put one in the shop. I can practice on it while the machines are running. There is a pool hall with...

BEST 7 FOOT TABLE FOR 4K OR LESS

Is there another 7' table that can be converted to play similar to a diamond? My 9' Diamond ProAm plays a lot like the gold crowns I have owned, it's not on another level or anything. I am mostly concerned with rebound and speed being as close to that of a diamond as possible.

BEST 7 FOOT TABLE FOR 4K OR LESS

The room I have in my shop if not large enough for a big table and not clean enough for me to put an expensive table in it. A Valley is a low-investment little table I hope to use to get accustomed to the speed and rebound of the smaller Diamonds used around here. Maybe in a year or so I can...

BEST 7 FOOT TABLE FOR 4K OR LESS

Thank you. A buddy of mine changed his over to the Ridgebacks. Are they about the same as Penguin? If I pick up a Valley, I will grab the Penguins. I watched RKC's video about installing the cloth. I've done a 9' his way but the Valley is a bit different with the rail nose height etc. Did you...

BEST 7 FOOT TABLE FOR 4K OR LESS

Thank you for your time and detailed response. Since I play 99% of my pool on a 9' ProAm, I find myself feeling almost claustrophobic on the Diamond bar box. The rails seems faster and play shorter that that to which I am accustomed. I am mainly interested in the same tight pockets, speed, and...

BEST 7 FOOT TABLE FOR 4K OR LESS

I know this is an older thread but I have questions. I moved to TN recently and EVERYTHING is bar box. I have a 9' ProAm in my home but want to pick up a 7 footer to put in my shop so I can practice on similar equipment the local tourneys use. It will be in a separate room than the machines...
