    Arrested for Ivory sale

Seconded. I honestly don't think I've ever handled real ivory in my life and would definitely prefer not to. Just not worth it.

WNT 2024 Hanoi Open (8-13 Oct), Winner $30K

Watching Mickey's match to get into the last 64 and the look he gave the 9-ball after that fluke like "come on man, you're make everyone mad at me..." Only for the 9 to go hang in front of a side on the next break. Why can't i get tables like this? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

WNT 2024 Hanoi Open (8-13 Oct), Winner $30K

Manas is good. I was just thinking the same about him after the match with the Viking (which was good fun). If he keeps playing like this he'll be near the top in a couple years.

Anyone else here like to use drag shots?

Occasionally, but i try to avoid it for the reasons Bob says above. I would generally prefer rolling the cueball unless the table doesn't allow. Then it's using the cushions or another ball to slow the cueball.

Does Anyone Ever Get to the Point of Saying...

I had a great hockey coach that always told us "Practice makes Permanent": Practice poorly, you're going to play poorly. Practice well, you're going to play well.

Pro taper vs conical taper on deflection?

I've found that conical shafts trend to be sensitive to how long your bridge is. With a Z I need to compensate a lot more with a longer or shorter than normal bridge. Don't need to do it as much with a pro taper 314. I'd guess that I'd feel the same between the 12.4 and 11.8 Revos.

    Filler withdrawn from Reyes cup

Obviously. Also why many large organizations have a *team* of people to manage socials. So they don't have a single person just posting whatever they want without being reviewed first. Doesn't keep mistakes from being made though.

    Filler withdrawn from Reyes cup

This is a great example of why many major professional (and college) teams make their athletes take PR and social media classes from experts. The public scope of these athletes is immense, even in the relatively small world of pool. Thinking about what you post/say, how you word it, and...

    Ivory in cues and Japan.

But in the event it's something you have no desire to keep?

    Ivory in cues and Japan.

So how does one "dispose" of items with ivory? I have to assume there's a proper channel for that. For example if you inherit a cue, knife, firearm, instrument that has ivory in it. How do you deal with that? Hopefully something i never need to deal with, but with an aging family you never know...

    When you're not feeling it

I second it being more emotional than mental. If i can, i start by walking away for a bit. Get some air, clear my head. Physically speaking when I'm inexplicably struggling (missing easy shots) it's my eyes and drops fix it. Had that last night. Eyes were dry and vision wasn't good. Drops and...

    Shipping Charges

I should add that the tube i got from Seybert's was in another box with a 1x1 case and some other random junk i bought. Would definitely double pack anything that is valuable.

    Shipping Charges

Just got a cue from Seybert's and i'm pretty sure you could knock someone out with this tube... They used UPS padded envelopes as stuffing (thanks for the free future packaging!) and that thing wasn't about to move in there. May keep the tube in case i need to ship a cue/shaft. I do the same for...

    Aluminum radial pin?

I would doubt that. I have a pair of cues that are practically identical in weight, balance, shaft, and tip. Only functional difference is one is UniLoc (steel to brass) and the other is Radial (steel to whatever synthetic Predator uses). I'm sure that synthetic is softer than aluminum. They...

    Aluminum radial pin?

Seconded. The only concern i would have is the thermal expansion of aluminum. With how tight good joints are it doesn't take much for them to stick. That's why i like steel on brass. Brass has a natural "lubricity" that keeps that from happening. Could be of no consequence, but something i would...

Does Anyone Ever Get to the Point of Saying...

Not directly, but i do think i have a pretty good handle of what my ceiling is if i had loads of practice time and training. So i basically have the speed i expect to be playing the majority of the time, then the good days where i'm closer to that ceiling for a bit. I know i'm not Eagle Eye and...

    US Open/Ranking Points

I'd say having multiple "governing" bodies is the primary issue, which leads to inconsistencies all over the place. From prize money, exposure, rules, rankings, even to the players that are allowed to compete (as we've seen recently). First thing they need to fix is to unify and make everything...

What tip you do you play with?

Have never tried a G2. But I've also never had issues with Kamui so no reason to change. The only tips I've ever had issues with have all been break tips (Samsara, Predator Hybrid, a couple phenolics). Just chalked that up to bad luck since I don't really break that hard and i seem to be alone...

What tip you do you play with?

Break with Kamui SAI (easily the best and most durable leather break tip i've used) Play with a combination of Kamui Black and Clear Black Softs. I've used a Black soft since 2010ish and switched to the Clear with my newer cues. Have the SVB Cuetec with a Tiger Sniper and really like that tip...
