    Cue Tip Compression

I like very hard tips. I found that the green one actually reduced sound from my normal fare. :p

    Cue Tip Compression

I saw it with some of the original Kamui super softs when they first came out. I think most manufacturers have got it right by now.

What drills are best to get that smooth stroke like Buddy Hall , or Chris Melling?

Good post. A good stroke feels like the cue is almost floating vs. you manipulating it. It's hard to explain and easy to fall back into bad habits. A good stroke isn't a "push shot" but it can feel like one, almost like the cue accelerates the ball instead of smacking it. Of course in...

CIT, SIT, Deflection aim adjustments: At the object ball vs at the pocket?

I agree. I'm not saying to NOT use english/side spin (you aren't either I think), but if you can make a shot with the vertical axis there are less potential things to go wrong. If you can get the same shape with follow (bending tangent line forward) or draw (bending it backwards), there's just...

Diamond Pocket Facings - Reduce Pocket Size

I used these when fixing the pocket geometry on my Olhausen. I really like these facings. They are slightly softer than the standards. Even with them being quite a bit thicker the pockets played very good. We played a lot of 1P on them and you could even do point shots and such and it felt natural.

    Best shorty cue?

The limited advice I can give is to never ever buy a Mizerak shorty cue. That thing was an absolute POS. I'm not one to break cues but I broke it in half and put it in the garbage can. Not out of anger either... it was literally the worst feeling cue I've used in my life. Just absolute piss poor...

What drills are best to get that smooth stroke like Buddy Hall , or Chris Melling?

I think a natural talent+work will always rise above an average player+work. I'm not saying an average player can't get decent. They can, but I think a born natural has a higher ceiling and will reach a short stop level far sooner than an average player. I've always had excellent hand eye...

What drills are best to get that smooth stroke like Buddy Hall , or Chris Melling?

If you shot as bad as I do you would play all of the above in almost every rack! o_O

What drills are best to get that smooth stroke like Buddy Hall , or Chris Melling?

It sounds VERY counterintuitive, but a beautiful stroke is usually the result of a slow back swing. I'm not saying anything about pausing or not pausing because I've seen it both ways, but make your backstroke pretty and the rest will follow. A slow smooth back swing prevents a lot of errors in...

    Compete without fear

Try to not pep talk yourself, good or bad. Just see what needs to be shot and execute it as if you were a robot. You don't care about the outcome of the shot, losing the game/set/etc. Your only job is to execute the shot as perfectly as you can at your ability level. It's tough to shut your...

    Pinoy luck

It can happen, he missed his rail target by 1/4". I've had more luck with titties saving me than anyone I know. It happened so frequently I started playing those shots at times. If you get a good carom angle, it's pretty simple to hit them, not that it's a high percentage unless it is lined up...

    44 Breaks & Only 3 Chances

I'm curious how you do at Evensville, but I don't think it's your table. At this point it may even be more of a mental block than anything. I'm not trying to tease you or anything either. When I'm convinced I will play bad I play bad. When I'm convinced a table is stingy I make less balls. When...

    Shaft length

If you're talking wood shafts, ask in the cuemaker forum how much a custom taper bar costs. They would have to buy or build a new one. It's pretty complicated. For CF all I can say is that they know people will pay more so they charge more. You'll have to figure out if it's worth it to you.

Dude, seriously. I'm not trying to troll you, but you're gonna drive yourself literally insane if you keep worrying about shit that doesn't matter. Stress kills. It will lead to health problems. 44 Breaks & Only 3 Chances

I can't believe we're having this conversation again... Move the CB to different locations and try different speeds. One will work alright on your table, others wont. This is why you see pros changing break locations when one isn't working. You must adjust to the table and conditions change...
