How are the U.S. 3C org. doing Today????

It has been a failure to try to convince any other pool rooms in Massachusetts to buy a single carom table. I’ve been trying for about 7 years.

    Chalkysticks app review 3c

I vote for caromball.com The physics are specifically designed for carom, long angles and proper slide and rail mechanics for 61.5mm balls I used to play Virtual Pool 4 and you can’t adjust the parameters to get it to behave like a carom table

Why Pool Leagues Should Embrace “ALL BALL FOULS”

I really hate to say this, but unfortunately the demographic that pool attracts is egocentric, due to many factors listed many times on this forum. Any rules at all are seen as flagstones towards achieving the only goal many see, and that is beating their opponent at all costs. Maybe other...

If your club is privately owned why was the decision made to remove the only carom table you had?

    I’ve a new found obsession with 3-cushion

Novices also get bored very quickly playing pool with a decent player because no matter what the handicap is they usually can’t win or don’t get to shoot or get frustrated that you are better then they imagined, and interest is lost. Most people don’t like being “bad” at something. They will...

    I’ve a new found obsession with 3-cushion

The problem is the perception. Two balls clicking together doesn’t give a novice observer the same black-and-white dopamine reward as seeing a ball disappear, so they don’t imagine it would be fun to play. When they try it they usually change their mind. Parasailing looks like it would be fun...

    DCC one pocket speed-up rule

I really wonder what 1p would be like on a corners table. I wonder if the up table game wouldn’t be so grueling since a lot more shots would be easy to bank and kick down table. Clustering balls in corners can be circumvented by a baulk.

    Pool Stroke Training Shot Clock

The DigiBall has a built in shot clock. The timer starts when the cue ball stops moving and resets when you make it move again. It has an app for mobile devices, Apple Watch and an HDMI capable TVs. The DigiCue is another product with shot timer capability. You set one of 4 possible ranges and...

    I’ve a new found obsession with 3-cushion

People who really really want a corner target on a billiard table can just set up a pin a certain distance from the corner. The ball doesn’t disappear but you can play a baulk and a spot on the OB. Just trying to run alternating red / yellow balls into the corner is fun enough to get pool...

    Veritasium on becoming an expert

I agree, and he has excellent material. His goal for the past decade or so is to become a leader in science education and communication content, which I think he is achieving. One of my favorite videos he made was about the discovery of the blue LED.

For those of You that don't know... The BreakRAK is getting some attention...

You can’t do this at break speed, 25mph shots. The cue ball jumps a few mm and will cause the object ball to jump into a rail and off the table.

For those of You that don't know... The BreakRAK is getting some attention...

The BreakRak lets you hit an object ball hard, without it flying off the table or needing to rerack. There isn’t another product that allows you to do this. If you can’t hit balls hard dead on consistency, how are you going to hit cut breaks consistently? Like you said about onions first.
