I feel that if we start to teach children to gamble at a young age then there is a good chance they might latch onto pool and cultivate that skill as they grow up. It is already starting to happen with children's toys and video games. Some toys now come in "blind bags"... so collecting them...

In regards to number 1 though... that might be a rule created by the TD/powers that be, that refs must call the foul if a shot is not called on a bank or combo. And as devil's advocate, that would need to be brought up in the players meeting as well.. ie "Call your shots on banks and combos...

While it was obvious he was playing the combination... if you are playing call shot then that shit NEEDS to be called. Combos and banks, regardless of how obvious or clear they may seem NEED to be called as there is a greater question of a possible safety being played.
