Pool in Europe vs USA: 7-foot vs 9-foot tables

Interesting comparison for sure. As someone in Wisconsin it's particularly interesting for me. We do have a lot of 7' table play happening around here. Every tournament I've played in has been on 7' tables even though my weekly league is played on 9' tables, but that league doesn't report to...

    🔥2 Al King Cases🔥

Nice, those are very cool and very unique, I've never seen HOC panels like that but it's a great look! Al just makes the best cases, love mine and feel very fortunate to own it!

Is a 20-ounce Predator Revo cue an 18-ounce cue with weights added to it?

Yeah, as long as you have the tool to remove them you can order the cue heavy and get some extra weights if you don’t need them. But, if you want an 18oz cue I’d be careful. It’s possible they keep any cues that come in a little heavy for those orders that ask for a heavier cue. If a cue...

    FCI Billiards- trust or pass?

^ yeah that. I wouldn't trust their FB post, too easy to hack/impersonate on there. But if you call them from the number listed on their website and make the deal then I think you'd be in good shape. I've only ordered a couple small things from them but one, a mid extension, didn't work out...

    Mosconi Cup 2024, Nov. 30-Dec. 3, Orlando

But see, now you're cherry picking from those that were selected. You're only going to ever end up with 5 (or less) countries once the selection process happens. If we use the European country to US state rough equivalency then we still have a similar gap. So now take that state by state in...

    Mosconi Cup 2024, Nov. 30-Dec. 3, Orlando

Oh yeah, I don't think he should pass it up, he earned his spot and the right to play. But....his performance is often not a help to the US side. I like SVB and every year I hope he defies is historical MC record and plays the way we know he can. But he's better at long solo races and the...

    Mosconi Cup 2024, Nov. 30-Dec. 3, Orlando

Depends on how you define significant but yeah, almost doubling your pool of potential candidates will likely yield a more consistently strong 5 person team when averaged out over time. Now, any specific year could go the other way, but overtime having a larger talent pool will likely yield...

    Mosconi Cup 2024, Nov. 30-Dec. 3, Orlando

Well, the EU population would be over 600m (without Russia) vs the US at 335m. So it shouldn't be overly surprising that given a fairly significant population advantage they would statistically be more likely to be able to field a strong team minus all other factors.

what tips hold taom chalk well?

I was temped to try that too but decided to go with Kamui for whatever reason since they were the same price as a change from the standard soft with Predator. But I've been real happy with the soft tip on my one shaft and will likely try a Victory medium next time I get a new tip installed

what tips hold taom chalk well?

I’ve been really happy with the Predator Victory Soft that comes stock on Revo shafts. Really takes my Taom Pyro well and I’ve had the fewest miscues ever with that combo. Recently got a new Revo and had them put a Kamui medium on instead to try something different. Liking the hit, much...

    Cheapest way to ship chalk?

I’ve received guitar pedals well thicker 3/4” in bubble mailers before, if it fits in the envelope it’s probably fine. Maybe try one as a test. As a taom chalk user…I volunteer as tribute :)

    Am I weird?

It is weird. Don’t know anyone who does that. I have heard of a separate cue for one pocket, which is probably the most drastically different of the main 5 games (8 ball, 9 ball, 10 ball, 14.1, 1p), so that makes some sense. But 8 and 9 ball are close enough in the goal (pocket ball, get...

How are Revo shafts different today than when first introduced in 2016?

Not aware of any changes, I'd guess they're the same. Whatever advances they've made I'm guessing we'll see whenever they release a Revo 2.

Break Cue - Jump Cue...technique % vs Cue Properties

It's mostly technique and skill I think but there are product quality factors too. In a break cue I really think it just comes down to having a hard tip for an efficient energy transfer. Not a whole lot more happening there. I've had some great breaks with a house cue that had a nice hard...

    DAZN

I've heard of issues with people unsubscribing. If you have any Apple devices though just subscribe through their app store and then you can cancel easily and without any hoops. I usually subscribe on my iPhone and then immediately cancel which just sets it up to not renew next month but I get...

    Jump Cue Advice

They really need to update this cue. They do have a longer jump butt but it's....well.....just a weird design. They need to make this closer to the Hanshew jumper which has the front section very similar to the standard Jacoby but with a screw on back extension. If they offered that I might...

    Jump Cue Advice

I currently own an Air Rush, Air II, Jacoby, and the Cuetec Avid Surge. I have also recently hit with a Cuetec Propel. Cuetec Propel and Air Rush are both excellent top of the line modern jump cues. Really can't go wrong with either. They are pricey though. I play with the Air Rush as part...

Jacoby new quick release vs old

Don’t know the answer, sorry, but have you tried calling them? They may not always be great with e-mail but they’ve always picked up the phone when I’ve called, talked to someone there just this past week.
