    Anyone ever get the YIPS?

Yeah. I have days like that unfortunately. Usually not a long term thing like some people deal with in golf and stuff. But I can shoot great one match and awful the next. It's something that gets better the more I play but when I'm playing just once or twice a week it can be an issue. Had...

Fedor and his Extension on his cue

I noticed that too. Has there been any consistency on when he puts it on or takes it off as far as shot type goes? On the one hand I kinda get it. I have a 3" extension for my cue and there are times I really like it and times I don't. Long or power shots the added weight can be helpful...

    2024 World Pool Championship

Agreed! Already well past last year's money leader, Filler, with almost a full half year to go. Would love to see Gorst finish well over the $500k at the end of the year.

    Custom Cue sales?

I think there has definitely been a shift towards modern production cues for a lot of players, myself included. I started with adding a carbon Revo shaft to my Runde. But then I wanted a screw in extension. So I made the move to a full Predator setup with a K Series Classic 1, BK Rush, and...

    Pool Cue Cases

These days I really only like cases that use JB interiors. They really are the best IMO. Al King, who often posts cases in the sales forum, makes amazing leather cases. These are not inexpensive but they are top quality leather cases that use JB interiors for a best of all worlds to my...

Poll for American Pool Fans. Are you watching Matchroom's WNT World Pool Championship live? If so, how?

Mostly watching matches not live on YT, but I'll catch a few here and there live too. Don't really feel like paying to watch on DAZN, don't love their app and stream quality has been a little spotty in the past. I usually pay for a month of that for the Mosconi but that's it. Thankfully I...

    Seyberts$

I too have had nothing but great experience shopping Seyberts. I don't even look elsewhere unless it's something they don't have. Sometimes stores set different prices for things....don't see why a $3 difference on an item is worth discussing really. It's $3....I can't even get an hour of...

    What's your escape?

I'm not good at kicking. I would go off the short rail right there, then the long rail just above the side pocket to catch the 2, hopefully leaving it around the 3 with the cue down on the other short rail. Might get safe that way, wouldn't leave much, lower chance of scratching to my mind.

One Pocket Rules - Calling Accidental Foul on Self

It's one of those weird things where it seems like a rough rub if someone accidentally fouls and gains an advantage, but it can also be used on purpose strategically which is usually accepted. Like purposely taking a foul and tying up a couple balls in 9 ball when you don't have a good legal...

    Favorite Production Cue Ever

Before deciding to go the whole modern cue route I would have said the Schon STL 8 was my favorite production cue. Really like Schon cues and the design of that model. But now, all things considered, I have to go with my current playing cue which is a Predator K Series Classics 1. I like the...

What would you do? Custom 24 month wait or instant Gratification?

To me it just depends on if and how much you want a specific design. If you find cues on the secondary market that match what you’re looking for then I’d go that route. But, if you want a very specific design and can’t find something it would be totally worth the wait get what you really want.

Do you wear competition pool outfits? Thoughts?

Also, dress shoes don't have wood soles....they're leather. Very hard leather that can look/feel like wood, but they're leather.

Do you wear competition pool outfits? Thoughts?

I wear what I normally wear which happens to be shorts or jeans a some sort of button up casual shirt. That's pretty much what I wear anytime I leave the house unless it's for exercise. A nice polo is always a good look too. I don't mind the jerseys for top players, around here it's mostly...

58'' standard cue length needs to be bumped to 59/60''

I'm just shy of 6' and have always played with a standard 58" cue. Currently I have a 30" shaft as well as 3" screw on butt extension for my current cue and while I've tried both I haven't stuck with either. It's likely familiarity but 58" just continues to feel "right" to me. The 30" shaft...

Why is a 3x4 case not that common

The JB Rugged 2x5/3x4 interior is perfect for this and I'm running this exact setup in it. It would actually be too tight I think for a true 3 butt setup but the AirRush jump butt is pretty skinny so that goes in the middle slot. Player with 2 shafts on the left, breaker with it's shaft and...

    Refining pre shot routine

Very common to have to go through a period of poorer performance when trying to make a change like this. Comes up commonly in golf, going through a swing change can be rough and I think of this as being very similar, though ultimately probably easier/faster to incorporate than a golf swing...

Carbon Fiber shaft for Predator BK3 break cue

Any shaft in a Uniloc joint should fit. If you want to stick with Predator they do sell the BK Rush shaft separately https://www.predatorcues.com/usa/predator-revo-12-9-mm-29-break-shaft.html

Are Top Level Pool Players Better Today?

I don't think the equipment changes in pool have had near the impact that they've had in golf. Yes, low deflection shafts make a difference, but even today there are some pros who play with standard maple shafts. Fewer and fewer as time goes on, but they exist. Low deflection helps a...

    Who remembers this?

Don't have any like that but I have a stack of like 5 or so of the modern Revo ones from Predator. No real use for them but I hold onto them for some reason. Didn't realize they were likely based on this design, first time I'd ever received a cue/shaft in something like that was my first Revo.
