3.7 sound great. I got one with 5/16x14 thread and it's 4.3oz, a bit heavy for me and makes the cue too forward balance but it plays nice

Best All-Around Production Cue for ~$1000 (Value, Playability, Durability, Support)?

From actually using cues… A nice custom cue will last a lifetime if it’s just a collectible. Treat a production the same way and it’ll last just as well. Your statistics don’t show who own the cues and how were they treated. Obviously most custom cues are own by players that know better how to...

Best All-Around Production Cue for ~$1000 (Value, Playability, Durability, Support)?

Sorry, but this is BS. Everything is overpriced nowadays; the same goes for cues, custom or production. There are production cues that are way better in all aspects than some custom cues. definitely around the $1000 price range and vice versa. For $1000 with an LD shaft, a good solid...

Best All-Around Production Cue for ~$1000 (Value, Playability, Durability, Support)?

If you want a player with a performance shaft, a custom will go way more than $1000 even for a plain Jane.

Why do you think that a custom will be better?

    Adam/Balabushka Rhino shaft?

Yeah, I ment 21.5mm at the joint while most cues are 21.3mm

    Adam/Balabushka Rhino shaft?

I got the oversized one for various cues I have with the 5/16x14 joint (Schon, Jacoby, Scruggs, McDaniel). it was too tight and didn't fit any of them. I had to tap it to fit. Another thing to consider is that the diameter of the Rhino at the joint is 12.5mm which is wider than most 5/16x14...

    Whyte Carbon Break Shaft?

Every time I go back to my Players Jump-Break cue, I’m impressed just how good it is. I used it tonight in a small 9ball tournament and I got really good breaks compared to the last few weeks. I think that for 9ball with the 9 on the spot and breaking from the box, I even prefer it over my BK2...

    CF infused Torrified shafts.

I don’t see any carbon at the joint, maybe it depends on the joint type. I compared today the inFuze kielwood shaft to my Revo 12.9. Both have the same tip (kamui clear tan hard, which I think I don’t like that much). Bottom line, personally I prefer the Revo. Less cue ball deflection, more...

    Best shorty cue?

but the predator is 52, that's why I'm asking. Make sure that it's short enough.

    Best shorty cue?

Is a 52 inch cue is short enough? How often do you get to use it? If it’s not used a lot, I don’t see the need to spend too much money on it. If it’s mostly practice that you use the table for or a friendly game, then it won’t be the end of the world if you move the cue ball a little.

    Player Break Rules

With a winner breaks format, one might not get a chance to get a break, so it has to be that way.

    BK Rush

In my opinion, this marketing/ production behavior allows Predator to charge about $1000 a cue. The demand allows Predator to raise prices and save them money in storage space. They create a hype that make people willing to spend more just to be in the club. I also don’t believe that Predator...
