Not so, the Ghost just gives you ball in hand and all the breaks because it's better than anyone. You are assuming you get the ball in hand because of the scratch, but it does not need to mean that. I have seen many pros play matches with that handicap.

I have not played much with their other CF shafts aside from whatever came with their cheaper cues about a year ago, those were just normal deflection. That SMO one I tried, is the real deal for LD properties. I was inches away from buying it on the spot, but will probably hold out till I spot...

There 3 shots I find are harder with an LD shaft. Inside spin to make a ball on the rail on an sharp or reverse angle. The curve of the cueball makes it scoot to the side more then spin into the ball to make it easier (to me at least). Slow spin to curve a bit around an obstructing ball...

Maybe not, wood would absorb some moisture, but CF will just accumulate it on the surface. Not from experimenting, just a brain thinking logic mechanical thing.

There is actually an equal now, the J Flowers shaft they advertise as the "lowest" deflection". I first thought it was more marketing bull, but I tried one while at the International in Florida a few months ago, and they are not lying. That thing deflects no more than the Revo.

Right, Fargo would give you a relative rating to the player. I am taking the handicap out of it, just going by raw skill, not how well it can win, because you can game the handicap enough to make a win against the ghost easier. Ball in hand vs no ball in hand, play the 7 ball ghost, etc...

So you're saying that the ghost Fargo level, even though it never misses or makes a mistake, can be not much more than a B or A player if a C player plays it and gets a few games on it before losing? That thinking breaks my internal logic LOL. I think that's the place where Fargo ratings break...

Well I am glad I read, a tiny bit, this thread. I was about to take my Revo shaft to an MRI with me, but now knowing it may, or may not, have a metal something inside it saved my life. What a relief.
