Why is Predator so easily get dents

If you are in a very tight area, maybe, once a year. But even then, if you are not running into them with your body, you should not be doing so with the cue either.

    Pawn shop predator

QR is the Quiet Roller models, pretty nice looking and properly built cues. My son had one for a bit.

    The slickest/smoothest carbon fiber shaft?

I played with many, unless they were worn, all felt about the same. I played around with waxing one, and it felt too slick, oddly so. Had to wipe it down to get the wax off.

    wow! next level cue robot!

Totally agree, a very well-done setup. I am surprised they have not done deflection testing already on shafts, or energy transfer tests. This device looks to have a perfect human stroke, including a good follow through.

Mike Dechaine giving pool one more shot

Looks fine a good shot, he was shooting to the side, the cueball did not look like it reacted oddly.

    Channeling Buddy Hall

I was on a work trip for a few weeks, only played pool twice but I watched a bunch of videos, mainly with Gorst. When I got back to my regular pool hall this week, my stroke was slowing down and smoothing out some just from watching the motion of the pro players. Was a noticeable change in my...

Byrne's New Standard Book of Pool and Billiards

The original version of the book is how I learned to play. I still remember having the book open on a pool table at Mr Billiards as I was learning, trying the shots. Maybe because of that, but I still think it is the book others should be judged against.

    Show me your wrapless cues

When I was talking to the cuemaker about building a cue, I really just wanted the rings and spalted maple handle and was going to just leave the forearm wood only. He decided to do the inlay design, which was a copy of another cue he built or was building at the same time. So my cue has a sort...

Pechauer pink retired cue JP-R 03

Wife used this a few times in league, was never much into pool and quit playing after several weeks. Pretty much new condition. Paypal / Venmo payments $250 including shipping.

    LD shaft and miscues.

Given all other factors being equal, no difference. Outside of a stroke issue, I think chalk and tip condition are really the only causes of miscues. Maybe if the cueball was un-usually dirty or in bad shape.

How did this become OK ?

See Mosconi Cup and other events. It kinda became tradition to do this and has been mostly excused from being a faux pas.

    Best Playing Cue Builder

So what is "best playing"? It has been a very old and very personal topic. Best hit feel? Best shaft "action"? How the shaft plays is wildly opinionated. "how does it play?" is a very frustrating and almost meaningless question for me. It's like asking "what is the best car color?" or "what...

    What is your HIGH RUN?

3 pack in 9 and 8 ball, I don't remember if I had any 3 packs in 10 ball. Straight pool is very low but I don't play it ever, maybe in the 40s. Missing the break shot is my nemesis LOL. Funny story about my 9 ball runs: a while ago I was in a weekly tournament and some random younger players...

How do you tell if your table cloth has not been pulled tightly enough?

The thing I don't like about testing with a human, is that it's a human LOL Varying hit speeds. I think as long as there is a "good" table to measure against in any given pool hall using a ramp, one can find out if any other table is slow or fast in relation, as well as cushion rebound. While...

How do you tell if your table cloth has not been pulled tightly enough?

Wasn't there a ramp someone did to try to standardize a table speed rating? So we all are using the same speed when comparing. Some incline, release a ball and have it roll toeasure. I remember a thread about that a while ago.

Was there a rule create for Efren's Z shot?

A Maybe during this match, but certainly not in any place in general. Basically they would be outlawing 2+ rail kick shots.

    Anyone play in TAP League?

How you will like it will depend on the local players and league owner. I like it better than APA, less than USAPL or BCA. Best part about TAP is the tournament they have is during SBE, which makes for a nice handy trip to do both. Less cheating than the APA, more knowledgeable players for...
