    Team Names Not Allowed

My Sunday night team is called 3 Jews And Some Cues LOL Not APA though.

    Who is this cool dude

I was in a pool hall in NJ, played a few good players but beat them fairly easily. There was a guy who looked just that one sitting near my table not saying much to people, just looking around, watching us play. I told him I want to play with him since he was probably the best shooter in the...

    Private Tournament at Home ?

However you want to do the matches, you can do it, in a pool hall, at your house, wherever. Probably not good for just randomly asking people to play using the app, it's more geared towards those who already know how to play and know about Fargo. You would want to play with players already in...

Players cue vs Players pure x

The person who's question you replied to has not been on AZB since 2018 LOL I was wondering why there was a notification on a 7 yr old post.

    Private Tournament at Home ?

You can use the Salatto app to play Fargo reported matches against your friends. Or just talk to people about other tournaments know about if your goal is to get a solid Fargo rating.

Anyone on here from the Warner Robins GA area?

I was in a place called B&W Recreation Center maybe a month ago, nothing fancy as far as the place goes, a big box building with large pocket tables, a few people and the guy working where there at the time, not very busy. We got to talking and they started to pull out about a dozen nice...

Does the type of joint really affect the value of a cue that much?

For me, unless it was changed from stock, no, the joint would not matter to me. In fact, some rare joint in a cue I would appreciate owning more than if it was a more common one. For example, the Scheuler joint design. Even if you can't find aftermarket shafts for the cues, that is not the...

Any videos of Dr Dave in an actual match?

Same reason I root for two APA 3s when I know them and would sit through their match even if it's bad play LOL It's fun and a bit exiting to see a match by someone you "know". I bet if the Mosconi cup was played by APA players, they would get as much cheering and backing their side as the pro...

    Fargo on Bar boxes

This is a fairly normal mental and focus thing that happens, we tend to rise up or down to the level of our competition. Sometimes it is a small nag in the back of your head that does not want to embarrass or crush the other player if they are clearly worse, the killer instinct takes a back...

    Fargo on Bar boxes

I find my play is higher level on better tables, not based on size. I play better on a good Diamond 9 footer than a badly setup 7 footer. Especially if the facings are badly done and shots can rattle out even if the pockets are 4.75 or 5 inch pockets due to poorly angled or old petrified...

Any videos of Dr Dave in an actual match?

A local player who is a Master level instructor, and has coached and helped several top national level junior players, is a mid-B level player who I don't think has a 2 pack to his name that I have seen in the 10 years I have known him. But his students have achieved high level play, including...

Any videos of Dr Dave in an actual match?

That would be fun to see/do. In at least one event they had a match with the referees, with the pool players commentating LOL

Predator Roadline in Matte finish... What is it?

You can put put a matte coat on any cue, just strip the clearcoat, although with some designs the wood won't pop as much, and it's probably best to do that with a cue without inlays. I held a few of those Roadlines and they seemed more oil than lacquer, it felt woodsy.

Have you ever visited a pool hall with really good house cues?

I have seen a couple of pool halls now in New York that are using the Rhino carbon fiber house cues. They're pretty good, but definitely require a decent investment since they're about double the cost or more of the wood ones.

New WPA Official Rules of Pool … Learn About All the Changes

I don't think I've ran into that scenario before, the way that usapl did scoring, unless the game is hill hill, if one of the players reached the point totals the match is over. If it's hill-hill, then the winner of that game wins. Meaning if you need one ball and I need one ball, even if you...

New WPA Official Rules of Pool … Learn About All the Changes

That is how USAPL did it. I have broken and ran a table, and the opponent got points because I made both suites of balls on the break. I break, run out, opponent sits and gets 2 points LOL

New WPA Official Rules of Pool … Learn About All the Changes

That would depend on the scoring rules. WPA doesn't sanction leagues as far as I know, but leagues are free to use the rules.

New WPA Official Rules of Pool … Learn About All the Changes

It's a loss, so score is 1 game. WPA does not deal with league scoring differences if that is what you are asking about.

New WPA Official Rules of Pool … Learn About All the Changes

Making "bar rules" "straight 8" play a legally punishable offence. Misdemeanor is fine, no need to go into heavier criminal charges.
