From what I can tell, Matchroom (all sports, not just pool) is stuck with DAZN for years to come unless DAZN goes out of business. DAZN loses like $50M a year but it still appears to have active investors.

Agreed. To the extent this championship would have any impact, it would be in China, showing American pool as a viable alternate to heyball.

I think 8ball and 9ball are a lot quicker for bar players to pickup and play, even against better players, than 14.1 (our typical bar banger insult). And they can played on smaller and more profitable tables. As big pool halls declined, so did 14.1.

Worst only played pool for a couple years before he died. His focus was largely 3C so it's hard to directly compare him with those who were around for decades. His playing was also interrupted by service in the Korean warn (digging graves).

I would have bought these if I saw them. I like to convert old cues or salvage a shaft if I can.

Perhaps an impact of the smaller pockets let to more random results? They didn’t happen in the earlier stages based on the Fargo rate data.
