    Sterling Silver Joint Collar?

Agree, but once it gets a bit of tarnish, I like to take a sunshine cloth to it and make it shiny as a mirror.

    Sterling Silver Joint Collar?

Nickel Silver, much softer than stainless silver. It's interesting that it takes on the color of nickel, rather than the copper. Many earlier cues such as Palmer used Nickel Silver for joints, though not joint collars. It shines up very nicely, and does a little tarnishing over time.

Joss- 1968-1979- Post your Pictures Please!!!

You did post that one, maybe a couple weeks ago or so, when you posted a few cues including a first model Palmer. Good example of a Diamond Series cue, and pretty rare. As I recall, that series went something like only 1981 through 1983.

Oh noooooo, its a 'Polar Vortex'!!!!!.....;)

Mid-Atlantic. Pretty cold for here, 20s, but we get that now and then. Guess global warming was a leftist hoax.

    Danny D's cue(s).......??

In the 1989 US open in Chicago, it looked like he was using a Meucci.

    Rip Danny Diliberto

Very sad. I visit his matches and commentary on Accu-Stats videos. One of the legends of the game. RIP.

    Incardona's cue..'92 USOpen..??

There was also a cue related interview in one of the billiard magazines where Bill expressed a preference for Southwest Cues. I assume he was using one.

    eBay Mystery Cue

It's most likely a Chinese knockoff of a typical Schon design.

    Tim Scruggs Four Pointers

That's interesting. I have some 14 thread pins and acme pin cues from Tim/Mike, but not radial. Both above are from Jerry Rauenzahn, one round and one flat, both with dimples on the end. I'm not sure why the dimples are there, as I've seen them without a dimple as well. I suspect the dimple...

    Tim Scruggs Four Pointers

There is more than one supplier of radial pins, it's not some custom thing. It all depends on the supplier. The pin may include a dimpled top for machining, depending on the maker, round or flat.

That is the same table spec on which Babe Cranfield ran 768 in Syracuse, so I have no doubt Jason's run is legitimate. Records are meant to be broken, however difficult. Congratulations to Jason. All the best, WW

Although a modern cue, it's also a bit old school box design in the buttsleeve. Nice cue.

60" Titleist conversion with Cortland wrap. For a customer..

Good find with the Cortland. Unless you know that light but bright green strand, you'd never recognize it.

I do to make sure the ferrule is flat and smooth. But you have to have very good hands to do this.

Who You Got? Mike Sigel or Nick Varner

Very interesting story, I don't doubt you're right. I would have thought Mizerak would have already had a Gold Crown in his house, but maybe not. As for Ortmann, he may have had that strategy, but he missed so many easy shots, and made the match so close, that I think his strategy almost...

Who You Got? Mike Sigel or Nick Varner

Yes, and neither one got in rhythm at all. A shame since Mizerak played great against Sigel for example, and Ortmann played great against Bill Weenie Beenie Staton in earlier matches. Sometimes the final just doesn't measure up.
