    Need some help here.

Right. I guess i should'be put it differently. When you watch the professionals play, you don't see the cue dip to that extent. So i was wondering is that only for teaching purposes for amateurs, or should it be repeated for each stroke. For instance, i'm trying to implement that when...

    Need some help here.

Most instructional videos when the instructor is teaching a student the importance of keeping the elbow from dropping, it appears to me, that he/she'll will do an exaggerated follow through with a tip dipping into the table. My question: Is that for teaching purposes, as a visual for the student...

Top 10 Secrets of a Good Draw Shot

Enjoyed every minute of the video Dr Dave. While watching the video, i noticed how close your cue tip is when addressing the cb with your warm up strokes. Is that natural for you on all shots, or just the draw shots? I hadn't noticed how far away my tip is when addressing the cb, until i...

Inexpensive Custom - You'll Def Want To Consider This Guy !!!

Hi Brian. Definitely a very nice looking cue. Couple questions, what shaft taper did you get, and IYO, what other cue/cues would you compare the hit of Dave's cues to? I didn't see any of cues on Daves site, that has a radial pin, is that a special order?

Did you tell them how much you appreciated the modification, making it a three piece work of art? Seriously, was that one of your, expensive custom cues?

How many of you own a sneaky pete?

My first cue was a late '70's Palmer Sneaky Pete, (my girlfriend bought it new, early '80's) but i didn't hustle. I played for money, but i'd put it together in front of the players in the bar, or pool room i was in.

    Got banana and duct tape?

lol...i have played pool with some cues that were pretty much as curved as a banana. I guess i should've taped them to a wall in an art gallery.

    Mother Drills/ Stroke Drills

lol. I had such a short back swing, so i thought Hopkins' stroke, (or lack of), would work for me too. I've tried to mimic Allisons' too, but the long pause, (just like Buddy) i can't shoot straight consistently. I'm sure I could improve with a few more lessons from a Professional Instructor.

    Tip burnish

I usually just lick my fingers a little, and rub it around the edge of the tip. I've not many problems with other brands of tips. I'm thinking i may be burnishing it wrong, by rubbing the leather burnisher length wise on the shaft, instead of twisting the tip inside of the leather. Although it...
