    Bar rules

I've played in bars all around the south, and south east. The strangest bar rule I've ever played by, "if you're on the 8 ball, and don't make a legal hit, (foul in the APA) you lose the game!" Talk about some fights. I had a friend that was an ex-marine playing a game and he missed the 8ball...

    In Question of Wood Finish

What's the most common finish on custom made pool cues, and about how many mils/inches thick? Eddie

    why tip expand upon application?

You have a nice set up for tipping cues. If I can get all of mine to look like those, i'll be happy. I'm going to try the cheaper knife first, but the only thing I don't like about it, it's brass, so if it works for me, i'll get the more expensive set. Eddie

    Radial switch to 3/8x10

Just curious if the glue, (thinking about Gorilla glue) and a couple of wooden shims wouldn't swell enough to take up that 1/16 of an inch? I'm sure that's not the way a Professional Cue Builder would build a cue.

    Radial switch to 3/8x10

Hi Mike. What about removing a, 5/16 x 18 shaft insert, and tapping it out to a 3/8 x 10 pin? Would it still have to be plugged and tapped? Eddie

    Replacing Break Tip

Interesting. I've installed quite a few leather tips, (without any specials tools), just trim and sand flush with the ferrule. So if i'm understanding what you're saying I can do the same with a break tip, but use a file to get the tip flush with the ferrule? Eddie

What hardness did you have put on your shafts, and which one do you like best? I like more of a medium, to medium soft feel. Eddie
