Does the ferrule material make any difference?

Hard to go wrong with a really good non layered tip. The hard part is finding a good lepro, triangle, or elk. Any idea if there's a difference between Hi-Chrome elks, vs the standard elks?

So after applying a coat of the marker ink, do you still burnish the tip with a piece of leather?

Conical or pro taper? I found that to be true with the pro tapered shafts.

Exactly what I need. The butt of my sneaky Pete cue is hollowed out about 18" deep. So would the void need to be completely filled, then tapped for the extension bolt? Not really worried about the extra couple ounces, but as little as possible and still achieve the desired outcome. Eddie

What about a Tomahawk ferrule on a Meucci black dot shaft, would that improve the hit, (the hit feels a little soft for my liking) or cause more deflection, less deflection etc.

She's not "quick firing" the way she used to, or has made adjustments for this particular event.
