65 shipped Players HXT Shaft New 5/16-14

SOLD This shaft is new old stock from before they started putting the new logo on. I think shafts look better without the gaudy logos on them personally. It has a lepro tip and weighs a whopping 4.7 oz. (without the joint protector). You won't find another one of these in this weight. It's...

    How Would You Shoot This?

Definitely dig into the cue ball with low left english and kick off the back rail, curving around the 3. I usually bend this shot too much. It looks pretty cool. If I'm not mistaken Buddy Hall does that very thing in this game and makes the ball.

Are stiff shafts harder to draw the ball with?

I find that the mid shaft taper has a great deal to do with how a shaft draws the ball. Even if I leave a shaft 12.7 at the tip but pull the taper back on a stiff shaft, I find that the shot requires a good stroke, whereas with a chunkier cue, you can kind of get lazy and let the cue get through...

Most Balls on the Break I've Seen in these Vids

Has anyone ever made this many balls on the break? If you've seen a video with lots of balls being made on the break that's not rigged or some fake camera trick, please post it. Here's a couple vids that cut to a couple monster breaks by Alex and Shane. Which one do you think was more...

    Lifespan of a shaft?

qbuilder. I enjoyed reading your posts in this thread. I initially thought this thread would degrade into the obnoxious bickering that plagues so many other threads. Instead, I think a lot of people became aware of how potentially different the playing/physical characteristics of shaft wood...
