I agree that no one is going to mistake a cue with an obvious joint for a house cue. Nonetheless, it's the umbrella term for cues in this style and has been used as such not only by thousands of posters/listings but also the main manufacturers of our sport. I've seen plenty of debate on this...

Incorrect. A Plain Jane is a cue with a solid forearm and butt sleeve without inlays, not a full-spliced cue like a house cue or sneaky pete. Sneaky Pete is a subjective term. People will refer to a cue that looks like a house cue as a “true sneaky” and house cue conversions or full-spliced cues...

I am fully confident the Cody would do a fantastic job, however I suspect that his price would be considerably more than others who could do this simple job. Cody usually does much more fancy/nicer cues and has earned the reputation to charge more.

Looking for someone that could make something with these specs: 30" converted from old, thick, straight house cue or bocote/maple full-splice blank white butt cap full stainless joint with 5/16x14 pin black collar with silver ring Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know his name. It's a 7 hour drive to go get the cue. Trying to get an idea of value before heading out since it may not end up replacing my player. Also, my vehicle is not ideal for that right now haha
