    Tony Chohan foul

Sry but that's simply dumb... all rules need to be explained in the player's meeting I presume...? At the absolute most, an event should publish prior to the event the rules that they will be referencing (WPA vs BCA, for example) AND any specialized deviations of those rule sets if applicable...

    Predator cues balance point

I honestly, (and I mean this without any bias or mischievous intent), can say that I have zero clue how the "balance point" has any effect what so ever in player performance. My grip hand location is completely dependent on bridge hand location, which is subsequently dependent on CB location...

    Predator cues balance point

Unless you change your grip hand location I doubt having a heavier butt will change the sensation you're experiencing. Maybe just pretend the balance point is where you want it. Sounds silly, but about as relevant as the actual balance point in terms of play.

Tip radius and accidental scooping the cue ball on draw shots

How about not calling a foul you know you made, but your opponent was blind to, (for whatever reason)...? I can forgive someone for not understanding the physics of the game. Knowing those same physics/rules and knowingly breaking them under the expectation of getting away with it is a whole...

Tip radius and accidental scooping the cue ball on draw shots

Ha good point... Maybe to hit the backside to make the OB in the pocket behind their bridge hand..?...lol

Anyone clean their tips on the carpet before putting it back in the case?

I do it... Not every time, but when the notion hits my radar. The floor isn't any cleaner than the tip. That said, I will look to ensure I don't jam it into a puddle of whatever. When room owners start using carpet not chosen to hide the filth they can't be bothered to clean. I'll stop not...

Tip radius and accidental scooping the cue ball on draw shots

Well you said it wasn't a foul, so is it or not...? My point is that's exceptionally easy to sell a poor draw shot (w/ miscue).

Starting again after 20 years - where to start, please?

I'll agree with 7stud to a point. Only because "very good" is a subjective label. A very strong potter with very strong pattern recognition could potentially become a very strong player without merely strong command over side english. I know several guys I'd tag as strong players that dip...

Starting again after 20 years - where to start, please?

Well I've always been the of the opinion that if your patterns are dependent on drawing the length of the table, then you've got something else you should be working on. That said, you also admitted not placing any emphasis on learning to play with side english. That is a pretty big gap in...

VIDEO: Is this the GOAT of one pocket outs, down 0-7?

ahhh... That makes way more sense to me. Then yes possibly After rereading the thread title, I'll admit that I assumed the intent incorrectly

Starting again after 20 years - where to start, please?

Yes and no... Based on what you described in the first couple of posts in this thread. I don't necessarily believe the level of ability you claim to have. Not trying to diminish your enthusiasm. Just rather see you succeed in the most efficient way possible. Anyone that hasn't lost a limb...

Tip radius and accidental scooping the cue ball on draw shots

Well if that's the case. Then any seasoned player could get easily get away with 'scooping' by 'accidentally' miscuing during a 'intentional' draw shot. If intent is the variable to whether or not a ball was scooped then I want you as a ref. ;)

Starting again after 20 years - where to start, please?

All do respect... Sounds like you're setting yourself up for a long road to possible low level mediocrity. Based on the description you gave in your first post, pointing a camera at yourself isn't going to accomplish much. You're probably stuck being batted around like a cat toy for the next...

Tip radius and accidental scooping the cue ball on draw shots

Scooping has nothing to do with the tip shape... Unless of course the kids are making them look like shovels these days. "Scooping" is the result of stroking up while the tip is underneath the CB. ...and is a foul. Except maybe in the APA. Weird rules in that one

    Stroke trainers

The latter of the above is how I learnt my mechanics back in the snooker days. Best stroke 'drill' there is... I still do it if for some reason I feel something is off.
