Different ways of aligning the backhand

For over 15 years i played with my elbow sticking out, because my back hand was out of line and i was pushing it inward to make the cue rub my side like snooker players do. I always played pretty good like that, but after i video'd myself and saw how shitty it looked, i seeked to correct it. All...

    What’s wrong with me?

i went to cf 1.5 years ago after playing with wood for over 15 years. There was zero learning curve going to the cf. Played great with it right out of the box.

Jump Cues.....what's the best out there right now.

I used my friends jacoby yesterday.....jumped right out of a safe and nearly banked the 8 right in. That sealed the deal for getting one. Im looking at the pechauer. What is the most common size, its available in 12.5, 12.75, and 13.

    Best Instructors

i wasted some money on two instructors. One outside boston(the worst one) and one in albany. The only meaningful class i took was with allison fisher. Other than that, i have learned more, and corrected FAR more errors by watching youtube instructors(barry stark), and by setting up an ironing...

My friend also has the predator......ripping. I have switched to these amazon cheapies. They are just as good, and seem to even hold...

CARBON FIBER SHAFTS-WHICH ONE TO BUY?

i went with the pechauer rogue. When i was researching, i kept reading that some of the others, like the revo, can have a metallic "ping" sound and feel, and that the rogues hit feels just like wood. On the mcdermott defy, i do not like the pattern on the shaft. It is too flashy, and would catch...

    Allison's Pool Glasses?

Looks like they are large oversized frames so shes not looking over the frames when down on shots. I have a friend on league that just had some custom pool glasses made at the eye doctors. I havent seen them yet but looking forward to seeing them, and how much they help him

    Cue Price/Quality threshold... Aesthetics?

I have a custom OB cue butt that was $375 that they made for me in their final months in business. A local cuemaker that i know told me it is one of the finest made cues with one of the finest finishes he has ever seen. So no, you dont need to spend a ton of money for a quality cue.

    Playing 3 person Cut-throat

No shooting your own balls allowed, and with fouls (scratch, wrong ball contacted etc) the person who commits the foul has to spot back one of each opponents balls if there have been balls made. It makes a line of frozen balls and now break out shots are needed. Also means you are never out...

    Favorite form of competition?

Ive always enjoyed scotch doubles. Four of us played yesterday, two matches, each a race to 8, $20 a person each match. We are all apa 7's. Me and my partner lost the 1st, and won the 2nd. So it was a good night, and everyone went home even and happy. I like playing for a little bit of $, but...
