    Polish name pronunciation.............???

I went to elementary school with a kid from poland named Jaroslaw. He had us pronounce it " Yah-dick". I just looked it up on translator and it did not pronounce it like that. Maybe he was just giving us a simplified nickname because he was sick of his name being struggled upon. Brings back...

Useful to choke up on cue to limit cue ball travel?

yes, this is the way to do it. Generally, Longer stroke=more power, less accuracy Shorter stroke=less power, higher accuracy. Wiktor zielinski did what you are talking about a few times last night at the puerto rico open against mario He. For fine touch safeties, he shortened his bridge way up...

    Was this a good hit?

I saw a bad hit. I reduced the video speed to 0.25%, and then used the play button to move it frame by frame. Cueball hit the 3 after rebounding off the rail, and then the 3 did not make it to the cushion. FOUL!

    Facebook warning

i went through id theft during the spring and with that came other people telling me their experiences. One of my insurance reps had someone using her photos from FB to make fake ids and claim to be her. FB is very risky because people typically post their photos and day to day activities on...

    Joint Pin thread that interchange

from my experience, it works one way but not the other. I have an old mcdermott cue (3/8x10) and a new OB cue (modified 3/8x10). The shaft for the OB would screw onto my mcdermott butt no problem. The shaft for my mcdermott would NOT screw onto my OB's butt. It would go a few turns and then...

    Facebook Scam Involving My Polisher

"Jonathan johnson"......says every fake id in the usa😂. Unfortunately scams of all kinds are exponentially growing. I dealt with i.d theft this past spring. My coworker is dealing with it right now. A friend told me about how people are starting to put their own QR codes into gift cards at...

Premium Chalks – Are They Worth It?

I have always used master, and just recently started using taom. I really like it. Its clean, goes on well, and seems to be wearing down very slowly. I also got a cheap magnetic chalk holder on amazon for it to clip to my waist. No more leaving my chalk on the table. Ive been using the pyro, but...

    Predator WPA World 10 Ball Women’s Championship 2023 (18-22 Oct 2023), Austria, Winner $50K

I thought the same thing. That was probably the toughest loss I have ever seen for allison. She pretty much had that match in the bag. If its any consolation, she still finished stronger than the younger top guns kelly, jasmin, xiaoting etc.

IS USING PLEDGE ON A CARBON FIBER SHAFT A BAD IDEA?

true. I use it too. I also just started using 91% alcohol and a paper towel, which works good as well. The shaft gets sticky fast regardless. I play on dirty bar tables and use a glove. If i didnt have the glove, id carry the cheap alcohol lens wipes in my case, as posted on page 1.

    OB cues question

unfortunately the owner passed away and the company closed. They were doing great work towards the end. They made me a custom cue in their final months, and a cuemaker local to me looked at it and said it is one of the highest quality cues with one of the best finishes he has ever seen. Amy...

Renaissance wax vs Martin Guitar polish

a mr clean magic eraser sucks chalk/gunk out of a wood shaft like a magnet and leaves it silky smooth without removing any wood. You can cut up the pads and get several uses out of a single pad. Just rub the dry pad up and down the shaft, and you'll be amazed at what it takes out of the wood...

    Help with stroke😮‍💨

you dont look bad when down on the ball, so dont be discouraged. I regularly set up an ironing board, mirror, and practice my stance and stroke so i can look at myself and see what i am doing.

    Help with stroke😮‍💨

i noticed your elbow wobbling some, and i also noticed that your cue does not contact your body when stroking. Many players, especially snooker, touch the cue against their body while stroking. If you can get your cue to gently touch against your body, it acts as a guide and helps keep your cue...
