Numbers on Aramith balls not flush?

I only have a set of the Aramith Tournaments and I cannot feel the numbers. FWIW, I also have a couple sets of Brunswick Centennials (made by Aramith) and cannot feel the numbers on those either. Yup. https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/gold-crown-ball-polisher.538320/

Yapp winning, with a foul! Just like Maradona making a goal with his hands :D

What the British are doing is light years better than anything we (USA) have done for pro pool...EVER. This will be the case so long as there are no funded programs for youth development beyond the APA. Other countries cater to pool as a serious sport. For the most part, in the USA it's...

    MR Finals Breaks/Every Third Rack

You do realize the "dead air" you're experiencing is because you're watching a stream and not the televised broadcast? There is no advertising for stream viewers to see, only TV viewers. The arial shots of AC prior to getting back to the match are run after the ads have aired. As I stated...

    MR Finals Breaks/Every Third Rack

You don't have to watch if it bothers you that much. Matchroom events are televised in most of the world. They gotta pay some bills.

1990 US Open Sigel & Varner - 5 Inch Pockets

They had Simonis in 1990...lol. The Camel Pro Tour events I went to in the 90's were played on Camel color 860.

    Softbreak ?

That's how Matchroom and most pro 9B events rack the balls; 9B on the spot. Have you watched any of the Matchroom events?

    Softbreak ?

Not with the 9B on the spot and the reduced break box Matchroom employs. A cut break is required to give yourself the best shot at pocketing a ball on the break (1B),

Diamond Pocket Facings - Reduce Pocket Size

3/8" facings will yield 4.125" corners. My buddy's table has 4.25" corners. Mine has 4.125" corners. The difference is noticeable with my table being much tougher.

Diamond Pocket Facings - Reduce Pocket Size

I understand the math. Have you found 5/16" thick neoprene in the appropriate hardness? Again, I'd go 50 Durometer vs the standard 60. If you spoke to someone at Diamond and they provided you with the info, ask if they will sell you the 5/16" facings, either precut or the raw material.

    US Open 08/18-23

Does anyone know when the semi finals and finals will be played? The Matchroom Pool website only lists TBD. Just curious if this is supposed to wrap up tomorrow or Sunday.

Diamond Pocket Facings - Reduce Pocket Size

It's 1/4" (4.375"), 3/8" (4.125") or bust. If you are planning go 3/8" I recommend you go softer than 60 Durometer. Standard 316" facings are 60 Durometer and you are planning to double the thickness. At 3/8" and 60 Durometer, the pockets will most likely play dead.

Table Difficulty Factor (TDF) for measuring table "toughness"

To all the keyboard warriors knocking Dr. Dave's TDF: You are more than welcome to create your own scale to determine table difficulty. I'm sure it too won't be perfect. A 5 year old can complain and poke holes. Until you develop a solution to your criticism, STFU.

    Pro Cut Pockets

Last time I respond here. Diamond calls it “Pro Cut” because 4.5” pockets were the norm on Diamonds for professional play prior to Matchroom. There’s nothing special about the way they are cut (geometry). I’m out!
