Are Gold Crowns Still Being "Diamondized?"

Triple check all the balls are touching. Even with a template rack, sometimes the balls need to be finagled a bit to rack tight and they certainly will not rack tight if they are old, worn and different sizes.

3D Printed Parabolic Diffuser for "Perimeter Style" lights

I understand that, but I don't think doubling up the diffuser will get him there.

3D Printed Parabolic Diffuser for "Perimeter Style" lights

If the light already has a diffuser, why are you doubling up? Given you are only diffusing about 2.5" - 2.75" of area, I think the cells need to be smaller than the .5" standard to be effective. Possibly by half. I'm still not sure what you are chasing as the fixture already has a diffuser.

3D Printed Parabolic Diffuser for "Perimeter Style" lights

Why not prototype them to sit inside the fixture? I think it would make the idea more attractive to the manufacturers. Seems like a lot of work just to prove a point/make a recommendation.

3D Printed Parabolic Diffuser for "Perimeter Style" lights

If possible, it would be better to have them sit within the frame vs hanging from the frame. IMO, it will look unfinished and take away from the sleek aesthetics of the fixture, which is one of its key selling points.

    K55 & K66

They do look like spacemen but I think they are supposed to represent pool players. Just don't call them astronauts. We have enough people claiming to be an "astronaut" recently. Maybe space cadet would be more appropriate.

    K55 & K66

You might be working on an early GCIII which technically has GCII rails, thus equipped with the slightly smaller K55, Monarch SuperSpeeds. Either that, or someone put something way different on there between the time it left the factory and you working on it. If you still have the old rubber...

    K55 & K66

Correct, and the cushions Diamond used are Artemis Intercontinental No. 66 which are a K55 profile, same as the old Monarch SuperSpeed cushions (these were slightly smaller but still considered a K55) and current Brunswick SuperSpeeds. Diamondizing doesn't incorporate a K66 profile cushion...

Gold Crown VII - initial thoughts?

I like them. They're a nod to the GCI. I thought it would be cool to also offer apron colors in Tangerine and Brunswick Blue, but I'm a GCI fan so I'm a bit biased.

Interesting Insights from Rory Mcllroy's Psych Doc

It's about conditioning your mind to think positive thoughts vs negative thoughts. Negative thoughts usually revolve around fear and anxiety. Both thought processes impact physical ability and "muscle memory". Some need help harnessing this, some don't. I don't think people who seek a better...

Interesting Insights from Rory Mcllroy's Psych Doc

In sports like pool, golf, bowling and baseball where there is down time in between shots or plays, the mental aspect of the game is more pronounced because there is more opportunity for negative thoughts to creep in. It is ignorant to think the most powerful organ in the body shouldn't be...

    Painters Tape Question

Why do you care if there is a burn streak? Very, very unlikely you will wear through the cloth in the path of the break shot. In a home environment, Simonis 860 should last 5-10 years. The only area you should be really concerned with is under the cue ball as you can burn through that area...
