A 7 vs 2 in APA is a race to 7 with the 2 getting 5 games on the wire. you are correct if that 7 makes one mistake that puts the 2 on the hill and earns the team a point. 95% of the time the 7 would have to beat themselves (early 8 or scratch 8) in order to lose to a 2.

Because teams have maximum skill levels that they can play. So being over ranked really hurts the whole team. Its not about winning against your opponent., its being able to field a full team without having to forfeit matches because your "3" didn't show up tonight.

When they first came out there was some reports of balls cracking if they were played with a LOT. It seems they fixed this on later "runs" of the balls. Cyclops is no longer in business (at least in the US), so these balls will eventually fade into oblivion.
