    shaft protector

The collet scratched the finish not the leather. I use all three depending on the situation. Each have their own advantages and disadvantages.

    Soft Jaws replacement material

Thanks. I totally forgot it had the plastic backing. I took it off too. Much better without it

    Soft Jaws replacement material

That is about twice as thick. I can't tell from the picture, but it also looks more like a foam rubber than a more dense, solid rubber

    Soft Jaws replacement material

I purchased a set of Soft Jaws from Gary Langley a couple years ago. I was needing a replacement, but sadly I found out Gary has passed away. The one set is a heavier material. I use it less often. It is good for holding the cue securely like a leather strip with grip, but harder to reduce...

    Crical case

Your original post was just what is supposed to be in this thread, a review of your case. No one thinks you think it is better. We are simply pointing out these inexpensive cases want you to believe they are the same or just as good as a JB and they are not. A lot of people are a bit passionate...

    Crical case

Clubs cues - apples oranges. Rubber handles versus a clear coat finish and dent-able wood. You are right, it is obvious to me. If you don’t mind your cues banging around in there then enjoy your case.

    Crical case

Huge difference. Personally, worth every extra penny. The cues absolutely do not move. I can toss it in the back seat with zero worries. I have some cheap cases I use for some bar banger cues I don't worry as much about, and I have to be gentler with them since the cues move around so much. The...

Sampaio - Made in Portugal Identification (pool cue 1)

1 is the Premier 2 not sure but similar to the Astro. Saw that just wasn’t sure on 2.

Your thoughts on outrageous cue prices

Can't tell if you actually think this or just trolling. Either way good points and discussion from it. You cannot dictate what a person's time is worth. That person only will decide what they will accept for their time. Did you ever think that some may have kept their prices at $500-600 for as...

Sampaio - Made in Portugal Identification (pool cue 1)

The Premier Blue Book is $325-800 condition based. Your other one is similar to the Astro $290-775, but not in the blue book or these terrible catalog pictures. Does the other actually have Sampaio stamped on it? The joint looks different too. Could be a hybrid of the two cues. Someone else...

Your thoughts on outrageous cue prices

Question; what do you think you should pay for hours of a person’s time, quality materials, and a uniquely designed cue? Personally too many yell gouging when it isn’t. Whether it’s water and hotels rooms after a storm or pool cues it’s not gouging. Pricing is based on the costs and the needs...
