    No Finish Butt Cap Material

Normally Meucci finishes over the wrap. The wrap would have had to be replaced. The forearm showed no sign of a finish. The wood is bare and full of chalk like a used shaft.

Vintage / Antique Cue Info Needed

I got a single butterfly to convert (check it out here). Did a lot of searching to identify. Just search Brunswick butterfly. The style has been made since the early to mid 1900s by Brunswick or AES as mentioned above. Is your top butterfly intact or cut off? Post pics if you can.

    No Finish Butt Cap Material

I hadn't thought of that, and I do have some of that on hand I have made different tools with. I am pretty sure I will be able to use the existing bolt since delrin cannot be glued. I assume it is pretty straight forward, but I will experiment with sanding and polishing to see how it will look...

    No Finish Butt Cap Material

I have a Buddy Hall, Meucci in to repair a broken butt cap. Ironically for a Meucci the entire cue does not have a clear coat finish. I normally use phenolic, but this needs to be made out of a smooth black material that can be simply polished as is, with no finish. I have used white Tomahawk...

Has anyone heard from Tom Hay recently?

Richard took over the SIB brand and those have been and still are available. If he is going to now take over the Ultraskin tips there may still be a delay due to legalities and or negotiating with family.

    Buy UltraSkin Layered Cue Tips

Thanks, Chris. Though we anticipated this, it is still sad news. The small amount of interaction I had gave the impression of a good man. Rest in peace. I assume you are referring to Richard at SIB? Scott

    Cues created equal

Great job saving the cue and logo. I appreciate the detail on this cue too, but I was curious about the slug. Is that the cue it came out of or are you just illustrating the type of cue these slugs are in?

    Gun drill vs arbor

Ready to make a mess! Received my .760 gun drill from Sterling today. I also got a used .650 from J.C. So let’s see what happens. Thanks for the help everyone.

Looking for complete lathe set up for just shafts.

I agree with Tom above. Like you I had a DIY to just work on the shafts. So glad I upgraded to the Mid-America. The longer bed will give you more versatility for setup positioning for different repairs and cleaning, plus working with one-piece cues. I find it very common for people needing...

    Segan Cues - Joint/Thread size?

Didn’t say much so easy to miss. “new piloted joint with a pin that is similar to the radial pin, made to Evan's specifications.”

    Extension bumper security

Thanks but that wasn’t the issue. The sides of the bumper had enough clearance. The issue was not being able to tighten without the bottom of the bumper squeezing out leaving it too loose.

    Segan Cues - Joint/Thread size?

The pin is discussed in the thread below. Do not know if a regular Radial joint protector would work. Thread 'Evan Clarke with Segen Cues' https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/evan-clarke-with-segen-cues.401389/

    Extension bumper security

Thanks and yes I do know about the hex. One of the first problems I had was the metal doesn’t touch the cue first, the bottom of the bumper does. When I tighten it down the bottom of the rubber would squirt out from being pinched between the cue and the metal. I tried to solve it with a washer a...

    My first tip install

Finally pulled the trigger on a gun drill a couple weeks ago so I can start coring my wood. Should get it in a couple of weeks. I did get another smaller gun drill for a good price used. (Thanks J.C.) Been wanting to try making an extension for my cue and thought it could be a good test for the...
