9 OR 10 FT SNOOKER TABLE

Could you please tell me, for what size balls are these tables set up? I understand that English snooker standardizes on 2 1/16" on 12' tables, and that American snooker is 2 1/8". I'd be interested in knowing what size the 10' Gold Crown snooker tables use.

Sorry if this is already posted somewhere. I presume this is Billy Thoorpe they're referring to:

    Funny pic/gif thread...

You could also use a clip-lead with a pin on the end to punch through the mouth piece and ground tip, get a dial tone and dial anywhere in the world for free. The original hackers were phone hackers.

    Disks Under Centennial Rails

E-Z LOK 400-6 - knife edge, specifically for hardwood, takes a 3/8-16 machine screw/bolt, which is what the table originally uses. About $10 per pack of 10 via Amazon Prime.

    Disks Under Centennial Rails

If you do this, why wouldn't you, in the case of Brunswick Anniversary or Gold Crown rails, just tap the wood for the 3/8-16 machine thread of the rail retaining bolt? Why didn't Brunswick just tap the wood for this thread instead of going through the trouble of the round or figure-eight nut...

    Anniversary Rails

@bradsh98 Geoff, that looks perfect! How did you get the facings to so closely match the cushion profile? I had read that some folks use a belt sander like the Makita 9031 1-1/8x21, so in anticipation of doing mine I bought the Chicago Electric (Harbor Freight) 1/2x18 sander. If you used such...

Recent Simonis 860 install by a table mechanic........Really?

Ah, I see. Would like to learn how to do that.

Recent Simonis 860 install by a table mechanic........Really?

That's beautiful. How did you do that, fold a piece and cement it? In the old Brunswick Gold Crown manuals it shows these as being glued to the slate edge before covering. Thanks, jv

Slipstroke: Loose Grip = CB Action

Cool. That said, I play snooker in a league, and watch way too much snooker on youtube; and, I confess when I've noticed a pro player's grip, it's always very firm.

Slipstroke: Loose Grip = CB Action

That's kinda silly. Have you ever watched or played snooker?

Slipstroke: Loose Grip = CB Action

Now 1,079 century breaks and 15 maximums (147) in competition. (BTW, Bob is to modest to say that he played pool with Ronnie. :) )

I'm going to explain rails to everyone, and rail calibration!

Must be a big closet. I honestly don't know why you don't pursue the seller, and get some kind of a resolution that results in them taking it back, and you getting some of the money back; but, not my deal.

I'm going to explain rails to everyone, and rail calibration!

Since I've read so much about your misfortune, would you mind saying when this happened? How long have you had this table you're suffering from?

Can you stop shipment on a cue?

I would get payment before I ship. Then, no worries once I send it off, except that the USPS will lose it, and collecting an insurance claim from them is near impossible. I'd also use tracking, so I can see where it is, and know if it was delivered. And if it was expensive, require a...
