Bulletproof Recoil tips 7 month later

LePro and Triangle are both single layer hard tips, old school, there are many posts on this site talking about how to make sure you get a "good one" many pro players have used them.

That's why I eventually went to hard tips, I had a medium leather tip that was wasted in 4 months because it would not hold shape, by the time I was replacing it the tip was a hard tip anyway, I replaced it with a TAOM Fusion expecting it to be a medium tip but it was much harder right from the...

I'm glad you have something that works for you, I wouldn't change to another tip if I were you, I'm just letting people who are looking for a different tip and may want to try a Bulletproof Recoil tip but are reluctant because it's a synthetic tip to let them know my experience, I sent several...

To me the main difference from the Bulletproof Recoil tip and a leather tip is the consistency of the tips, they don't get harder and having the same tip on several shafts, is they play the same, I do enough inconsistent stuff on my own, I don't need any extra help from my equipment 😁

Couldn't agree more, if a leather tip works for you then you should use it, one size does not fit all, I am only relaying my experience, a lot of time the reviews you read are nothing more than a sales pitch, I love this sport and if I can help someone decide to try something that has worked so...

    deflection

All cues will induce deflection when the cue ball is struck off center, some more than others, physics sucks !!!!!!

A LePro tip is not a layered tip, almost all new modern tips are made from layers of animal hide and glue that holds the layers together, I had a Kamui Athlete med tip that only lasted 4 months, the hit changed from a medium hit to a hard hit rather quickly, I'm not picking on Kamui, this has...

No, the vault plate can be replaced but is more expensive I thought it was worth a shot and added the acrylic plate, it was only an extra $5 when installing a new tip, I have found no difference in the way it plays, when I got the new Prime II 12.0 shaft it played so well with the stock tip I...

The vault plate takes the place of a ferrule, you have to remove a little when replacing a tip just like a ferrule, there is a specification for how thin the vault plate can be before you replace it, by adding an acrylic pad you extend the life of the vault plate, I found no degradation in...

No, I was using the Becue Engage 11.8 shaft for the last 2 years, it's a great shaft, Becue is a technology company so I was not surprised that they came out with a new shaft, I saw a review that made me want to try one, the taper on the Prime II 12.0 shaft just works for me, feels like it was...

I've had several lessons with Kim Young, and plan on more, I never played with the Prime M, I love the Prime II 12.0, best shaft I've ever owned, I like the Engage 11.8 shaft but I like the Prime II even more, Becue built a custom rear extension for my Natural Born Naked cue for me, they are a...

On a CF shaft you have a vault plate, that is the clear or white on a Becue cue, the blue is an acrylic pad, and the tip is green, which let's you know it's a hard tip for the Bulletproof Recoil tip, the consistency is what I love about it, plays the same as it did when new, I expect this tip to...

I have been using these tips since January 3rd of 2025, I bought a new shaft in February and installed a Recoil tip on March 3rd, I have a table at home and practice EVERY day for at least an hour, I may have missed one or two days but no more and there are days I have been able to practice 3...

Cleaning Balls - Machine vs Hand

I built a pool ball cleaner from an orbital polisher and a harbor freight 5 gallon bucket and use microfiber bonnets, it cost about $50, you can get videos on YouTube on how to do it, took me an hour or so to build, I use the Arimith ball polish and a little rubbing alcohol and they come out...

    Great Outs !!!

I think it is a great way to learn how to play better patterns if you are not at a pro level, most of the time they make it look easy, definitely not this time.
