Gun drills - how much air pressure?

If you'll go back to the title page for this section and look at the topmost subject (it's called a "sticky") you'll see the rules for this forum - the short answer is "No", links to vendors and sources are to be given through PM's and not published.

Gun drills - how much air pressure?

SMT, I remember that discussion, it was here or over on Cue Machinery and Supplies. I think Joey Batista aka Joey in Cali (or something like that) was involved. It was pointed out that if you sent your gun drill back to Sterling (I think) for re-sharpening you could tell them it was for wood...

    Polyester resin

Solarez is polyester resin. Some think it's great, others not so much. I'm finally learning how to apply correctly and I get a hard, deep, glassy finish. YMMV

    Solarez Problem

JC, The white spots you are seeing are micro-bubbles that then turn white when they fill with sanding dust. These bubbles can be introduced if the Solarez is stirred too vigorously (like with some kind of power mixer) or if it is shaken. Apparently, there is a component that floats to the top...

    Break tips on black tomahawk

I use Tomahawk all the time for ferrules and have no problem with good quality CA gluing tips and break tips. There is nothing significant about the shaft material in this scenario. What kind of break tip and what kind of glue are you trying to use? Gary

NDP, There's another guy here who goes by the screen name of Ssonerai who also comes from a furniture building background, so he may be a good source of what is needed and what to expect from a common perspective. Use the search function to see some of his posts and get his contact info. I will...

Taig CNC Mill & Dayjob shop show and tell

Wow, you have been busy! I, too, have been using the Consew motors - I have 1 on my repair lathe and one spare to install on my CNC tapering rig, just waiting for some down time to do that. I also belong to the Taig Mill FB group that you referenced. On my CNC rig, I started with open-loop...

    New CNC coming soon

" . . . . . . I also don't care for the way you are assuming that I am trying to price gouge customers. I assume you are a cue builder? Its like me jumping on a cue you are trying to sell and questioning how much the parts cost then saying I can get a Mcdermot Lucky for $50 so what makes your...

    Bender Snakewood cue

Ryan, If the cue has been kept in your immediate geographical area for 10 years, then it is safer, but still no guarantees. If you are getting it shipped to you from another area, then all bets are off. My 2 cents, Gary

    Epoxy question???

Use there an existing wood or plastic plug in the joint end of the shaft? If so,then you can install the insert in the normal way. If it is foam filled you'll have to remove enough foam to glue in a plug. If it is not foam filled you'll need to fill it with foam and proceed from there. You have...

Cue Makers - Who Determines The Playability Of Your Cues

    Solarez help

You must have reposted the pictures as they are showing up now. Yes, that is the bulb that is recommended by SolaCure. Which ballast did you use? SolaCure has info on that. FWIW, my curing booth is only 35" wide - it was used as a spray booth - and I didn't see the 24" bulbs when I was setting...

    Solarez help

Which bulb are you using? I tested some different setups and found the wavelength matters, but the wavelengths advertised for different bulbs/lights are not what they say they are. Post a picture of the bulb brand and type from the end of the bulb.
