The point you're missing is, as good and consistent as Diamonds play, to run out a set, requires one to come with one or two "hero" shots during the various runs, that the pros are certainly capable of when playing well, but the shot may be 50%, and due to the unique table layout, there is a 75%...

Shaw ran 8 out of 9 racks against me in our DCC 2023 9 ball match. I watched Lee Van do either 7 or 8 racks on a table beside me that same year. And those were the 4 1/8" pockets.

It was a lot more possible when the races were to 7. Hell, I put a 4 pack on Joey Gray mah damn self, the year he took second in the One Pocket. And I had a sub 600 Fargorate at the time. And the point is.. There is NO "incentive" to go for running out the set. If YOU can put down a 5 pack...

Maybe look at his recent results at Derby, if you think he is not a threat to top pros. He's beaten quite a few top pros (at least in the One Pocket). He beat both Tyler Styer and Fedor Gorst in this trip to DCC.
