Magic Rack and Joshua Filler's 7-pack

4 1/2" pockets are not that much of a challenge for the 825+ Fargo crowd. You gotta get down to 4 1/4", AND have a little wear on the cloth to slow them down.

Magic Rack and Joshua Filler's 7-pack

He is being intentionally combative, because that is his personality. Much like in NPR... Once he takes a stance, he is absolutely bolted into it, and no new information, or idea presented, is gonna move him off of it.

    Pinegar - Boyes match

Waymint... Isn't Boyes the guy that took b-i-h against Shannon Daulton for touching a CB in the middle of the table before it came to a full stop? And Pinegar was mean to him? Oh Noez!!! Anyways....

A conversation with Anthony Meglino: The best player many people have never heard of...

Yeah, but he's not a 700 level player. He is knocking on the door of 800. I have played him myself, and did fair against him, but lost.. And the one takeaway is that he got a lot of action out of his stroke, and was *very* precise in his thin hits. He moved like a ghost, and smoothed in banks...

A conversation with Anthony Meglino: The best player many people have never heard of...

Dude is dissing Meglino, when the dude might get close to 800 Fargo after (if) Derby results are input into Fargorate, and is knocking on the door of a big win. I believe he basically dominates Florida pool, and that is with Corey Deuel still living there, I believe.

Magic Rack and Joshua Filler's 7-pack

The point you're missing is, as good and consistent as Diamonds play, to run out a set, requires one to come with one or two "hero" shots during the various runs, that the pros are certainly capable of when playing well, but the shot may be 50%, and due to the unique table layout, there is a 75%...

    Has anybody done this?

I am not a broke POS, so I would never be in that situation.

Villa Rica, GA, Wed Jan 29, practice sets

I am sure you guys are willing to match up with him based on Fargorate, so you are not stealing from a lower level amateur... Right?

    Has anybody done this?

Yeahhh, that was never me. I was always "I am gonna give my all on every stroke, every game." So much so, that I get extremely annoyed with players that cannot play full bore unless there is money on it. I see them as fundamentally weak mentally. Do I gamble? Certainly. Does it make any...

    Has anybody done this?

The problem is that excellence on pool in comparison to how amateurs play, looks very different than when the weightlifter throws up a 400lb bench press while looking like they only have a moderate amount of muscle. An amateur player might not even realize they are severely outclassed for 20-30...

A conversation with Anthony Meglino: The best player many people have never heard of...

Oh, so, you are equating "being a threat to a top pro", with "being a favorite over a top pro"? You're a real risk taker, aren't yah, mr. BigBawlz? You are being so obnoxious about this... Isn't there an NPR political thread you can go argue in, or something?

2025 WNT Predictions for emerging players

Just curious.. Are you planning on polluting every thread you can get your hands on, over you own personal bias on this topic? Do you really wanna be "that guy?

2025 WNT Predictions for emerging players

Absolutely! It can be intimidating to have a player trying hard to beat you from any and all deficits, and showing confidence while doing so. All it takes is a few good racks, and all of a sudden, they don't have the pushover match they were looking forward to. I've won a few 5-0, 6-0 races to...

2025 WNT Predictions for emerging players

F*** that guy. I loathe that guy for life after seeing the s**t he pulled against Mitch Ellerman at the Leende, Netherlands Eurotour stop the year Johann Ruslynk (sp?) brought everybody from the American team over to Europe to prepare for the Mosconi Cup. He directly accused Ellerman of giving...

Magic Rack and Joshua Filler's 7-pack

Shaw ran 8 out of 9 racks against me in our DCC 2023 9 ball match. I watched Lee Van do either 7 or 8 racks on a table beside me that same year. And those were the 4 1/8" pockets.

Magic Rack and Joshua Filler's 7-pack

It was a lot more possible when the races were to 7. Hell, I put a 4 pack on Joey Gray mah damn self, the year he took second in the One Pocket. And I had a sub 600 Fargorate at the time. And the point is.. There is NO "incentive" to go for running out the set. If YOU can put down a 5 pack...

A conversation with Anthony Meglino: The best player many people have never heard of...

Maybe look at his recent results at Derby, if you think he is not a threat to top pros. He's beaten quite a few top pros (at least in the One Pocket). He beat both Tyler Styer and Fedor Gorst in this trip to DCC.

SJM at the 2025 Derby City Classic

I watch a few of Chinahov's old 14.1 matches, and I gotta say.. I am not sure it is "possible" to have better speed control. But.. He doesn't play the other games at the same level...

    DerbyCity going to Nashville...???

Not my problem, and I'd say the vast majority of dead money amateurs in the field at DCC would agree. I'm ALREADY paying way too much for entry fees at this event as it is, with very little chance of getting anything back, and when I compare what I spend overall at DCC compared to what that...
