    An event I’d watch…

there have been two cuesports challenge events like this. miz and steve davis did it and also efren and blomdahl. i would def enjoy an event with 3c, pool, snooker. the best candidates aren't necessarily the obvious.

    2025 Men's World 10-Ball Championship, Sept. 20-28 -- General Comments Thread

that's a pity. especially wiktor, chua. but i'm thinking the 64 players will make a tough field anyway didn't they use to have 96 player fields?

    9 and out from nowhere

that last emoji is probably suitable for alex calderon, because that 9 and out seemed to put the fear of god in him. the match was won there, at 1-1. very good player otherwise. he is slow, but his percentage and moving game is top notch. good game to learn from

    9 and out from nowhere

38:30 i can't see what calderon did wrong there, other than he should have frozen cb to the rail. calderon really played textbook, almost flawless to that point, and the match "should be" 2-0 from there. freakish out by filler

1990 US Open Sigel & Varner - 5 Inch Pockets

adapt? he grew up on tables like this. do you think if you grow up playing on tables like this (which is rougher than in literally any filmed 1980's US pro match i've seen) you get a "strong stroke"? not that i give any credence to the notion that modern pro players from any country have...

1990 US Open Sigel & Varner - 5 Inch Pockets

maha is shirking the thread now but the argument that modern players never saw tough conditions and don't have cue power is obviously untrue. that screenshot is from a match 3 years ago but i've seen even worse, with talcum all over the cloth and in piles on the rail. they still shoot lights out..

    21 Ball One Pocket?

    1990s 9-ball McCready vs. Paez

to be fair, these were the two jumpiest players ever. current player gerson martinez comes close but morro paez must surely be #1

1990 US Open Sigel & Varner - 5 Inch Pockets

i think it's one of those establishments with walls on three sides and a roof. it's not a picture from olden days, it's three years ago. it's the current world champion, carlo biado. (probably standing there thinking how on earth he's gonna be able to move the cb around despite being a modern...

i like the rings fading into the wrap area, or vice versa. nice

don't know but at least one shot was cheating with double sided tape on the rail contact point

1990 US Open Sigel & Varner - 5 Inch Pockets

i was strictly talking one hole in that last paragraph, in case that wasn't very obvious. they are both 1p hall of famers, and buffalo's is the biggest/best 1p tournament
