    Interesting interview with Scott Frost

Not just road stories, the last part definitely showed a new side of him, in contrast to the coarse guy many remember when he was in his 1p prime. Redemptive, if that's a word.

Why are there so few black pro players..?

tony has indian ancestry ike runnels hasn't been mentioned. i used to watch his one pocket play whenever i could, because ability wise he is fairly close to us mortals (although a strong banker), but his percentage play is top grade. it's fun to watch guys like chohan or rafael martinez, but...

    US Open 08/18-23

unfortunately you're right. he was racking up eurotour wins when eurotour still had the best european players partaking in it, looked for a long time like a future champion. didn't happen, and i think at least one of the reasons why is very obvious..

abdullah i would guess is on the older side of seriously considering being a WNT touring pro. he looked 50 then, i know he wasn't but probably pushing 50 now on shane wolford. good talent. but he has an aura about him that he's content with being the local hero, if that makes sense. i think...

    Slow play by pros

so is josh filler, soufi, jayson.. not to mention ronnie o'sullivan. what you don't think the slow ones are used to tight pockets? it's not like their practice tables are GCIII's with 5" pockets. they're slow because they are allowed to be. and they shouldn't be allowed to be.

    Corey Deuel still good? Fargorate

maybe curiosity killed the cat? he tried to get on the snooker tour for a while, played a lot of one pocket for a while, tried five hundred ways to break the balls, etc. neither are necessary bad for your game, but meanwhile guys like svb and darren popped onto the scene and they had a totally...

    Slow play by pros

agree on this. MR or predator should try an invitational with a 30/20 second shot clock. UP8b have 15 second but it's a smaller table to get around

    Pool Inventions of the Future

this is for noob pool viewers: the broadcast identifies which ball is next in line, and lights it up briefly. yellow, blue, red etc. so JJ won't have to say the blue two ball. this function could also be deactivated in the streaming service for us pool nuts

    US Open 08/18-23

yes, i wouldn't see him as a wildcard. teleport him to any pool tournament in the world, any discipline, and he'd be a favorite..

2025 Battle of the Bull (9-Ball), August 2025

they were streaming, with yates and frost on comms when i watched. makes sense final was streamed there. i watched the railbirdstv mostly, some very good matches (and the wildest two shot safety exchange i've seen in years. hoang vs fedor), and forgot about the wnttv stream
