I have shot with several shafts over the last few years. What I have learned is low deflection is over hyped and wood feels way better than carbon.

I use two 1000 GSM towels for the wipe down before they hit the cloth. This cuts down on the wax effect imo. Just a micro thin layer left. If I ever have to replace the carpet I might mix something up but it really just doesn't bother me.
