Normally the tooled Fellini cases have the latch on the seam to accentuate the tooling. I have only encountered one plain case that had the latch on the seam.

The cue is a variation of the C/B-6 Lazy Daisy and the case is the model CC60 in burgundy both from the mid 70's

From around 1990 86-9 model for the zig zag one
