    Vacuum for table

It's expensive but our home vacuum is a Miele C3. It has 8 settings for suction strength. I put it on the lowest setting for curtains and use a small furniture attachment that came with it. It pulls out all chalk and after just over 20 years, I still have my original Mali cloth. No pills or...

    Aramith marble balls

I have the Elephant Beautiful set that is swirled like that. They are very attractive with deep colors. Interestingly, it is also my wife's favorite set as well.

Ali Express Billiard Ball Cleaner? Anyone seen or used one?

This is the first DIY I have seen that looks like it doesn't actually harm the balls. I have seen all of the videos of DIY bucket cleaners and the balls constantly clack and rub together. It doesn't take an engineer or physics major to figure out that is rapidly aging the finish on the balls...

Ball Polisher Makers Here On The Forum?

I have looked at Bludworth, Ballstar, Cleen Gleam, and Diamond cleaners. Diamond seems clearly best, but good luck trying to find one in stock ANYWHERE if you only want the smaller model, and shipping cost is very high in addition to this being a very expensive machine in the first place. I...

    Arcos II or Tournament Black

Same here. People here argue a lot about the quality between Tournament and Arcos II. While not scientifically studied, I own and play Arcos II, Tournament and Centennial sets. The Arcos II set stays clean longer and cleans up more easily than any other set I play or have ever owned.

    Arcos II or Tournament Black

This is absolutely true "on paper", but in real world play, if they were all colored and marked exactly the same, I honestly do not believe I could tell the difference between Super Aramith Pro, Centennial, Tournament, or Arcos II. On a HOME table, I do not believe any of these top tier sets...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

Always the champion for the poor or budget collector (I am both 😀) From a closed pool room who had a case of these unopened, I managed to beg and snag this last new set of Centennials for $230! I love the hunt as much as the hobby!

    eBay seller warning

I don't know the rules or limits but Ebay offers buyer protection and you can also do a charge back on your credit card. I would contact Ebay customer service first and very quickly. Hope it works out ok for you

    Arcos II or Tournament Black

I own and play a set of Arcos II's, Tournament Black, Centennials, Elephant Beautiful (Swirl). I already had the swirl, centennial, and Arcos set. I wanted a set of Tournament and decided to go with the Black set because I already had several traditional sets. I actually really like them...

    Aramith Blue Circle Cue Ball

I love the Centennials as well. I would also suspect that playing with such a level of consistency may actually help your game as well. It was my first set. I played them for 18 years on my home table and they still looked almost perfect. I sold them recently for about $25 less than I paid...

    Aramith Blue Circle Cue Ball

I own about a dozen or so different sets of balls, but I see you have 3 sets of Centennials. What led you to purchase multiple sets of the exact same type versus all different for variety? Just curious.

    BLUFLYE a scam site?

Has anyone here ever purchased any billiard balls or equipment from bluflye.com? I know some people who have bought shoes or clothes from there and been pleased, but the prices seem crazy low. A Chinese made ball cleaning machine is listed as new for about $75.00. Is this just a foreign made...

Thank you Garczar. I looked for it on the MR site but couldn't find it. There isn't a search function on the site. How did you find that link?

So what difference is there between balls? Aramith vs others

Fair point. "Better" is very subjective. A better description may be "more consistently". I own 17 or so sets. I have 3 sets less than 5 years old. Arcos II, Aramith Black, and Super Pro. These 3 play the most consistently. I can not really tell any difference from set to set. My newer...

So what difference is there between balls? Aramith vs others

There is TRULY a difference between top quality balls, such as are manufactured by Aramith, and all others. Another SIGNIFICANT difference lies between Aramith balls of many years ago, and today. The tolerances and formulations have improved quite a bit over the years. Modern, top line...
