    Unusual/weird/unique billiard tools and implements

OOOPS...I was thinking about the old Meucci pool cues that had a rubber insert for a bumper. I was redesigned because it would split the butt if you hit it hard on the floor.

What is meant by "Pop" the cue ball?

You can also change the distance from the bridge hand to the cue ball. A shorter bridge distance can give more hop. "HOP" this helps you... LOL

What is meant by "Pop" the cue ball?

Great explanation. My best break comes by using a regular bridge on the the back rail. This gives a little cue elevation and therefore a little hop with a full face hit on the head ball. If the cue ball bounces off the side of the table I know it was not a full face hit. I did not think any of...

    English on the break shot.

If the cue ball is not going to a rail on a break shot why should I put English on the cue ball.

    RIP To a Legend.

He was fierce competitor and a gentleman. Unfortunately for me, I had to play him at a Starchers Billiards tournament in Akron, Ohio.

    Extreme Masse

I seldom use extreme masse ( bringing the cue ball almost straight back), but sometimes it can be very useful. Lately, miscuing has become a problem and your experiences and suggestions are appreciated. Could a low deflection shaft, a medium hardness tip, Kamui .98 chalk, fast cloth, etc. be the...

Practice or Books Which is Best?

This is really not an 'either/or' question. Pareto's Principle, or the 80/20 rule, may help. Twenty percent reading and 80 percent practice may be the answer.

    Reason for “expensive “ chalk

I still vote for Kamui .98...because I don't chalk unless using a lot of spin. End of story. EDIT OOOPS... I just saw the video...I better rethink.

    Help with stroke😮‍💨

Your shot selection was very good to show some variances. A lot of good responses here, most of which I have tried. I hope some have helped. But if not, here's one that helped me. Your elbow side to side movement could be causing the problem. Others have mentioned it but I haven't seen a...

finding the degree of your eye dominance

To continue your routine you may want to use side English with the stop shot, to stop the cue ball and have it spin in place. Folks who try this have a new respect for using English.
