    Big pin ivory joint hit

At the time they (Joss West) were $ 3200 range and a wait. His masterpieces works of art and the finest instruments of Balabuska quality. A friend had a McDamit custom made with ivory joint ferrule and leather Wrapped in a couple of weeks for $250. HE LET me hit a ball with it and generated...

    Big pin ivory joint hit

Ivory joint ivory ferrule is like...uh, ice cream. Cole was the finest conissewer I spoke with. I had the opportunity to strike balls with Joss West Ivory joints. I currently shot with Cole's Joss with ivory and stainless joint. The flex at impact over stainless is a micro difference but Cole...

    Snooker from Saudi Arabia

It's like poker. It's a game of skill with aspects of luck. The better the control of the white the better the odds. 🤷‍♂️ simple. The commentators explained where the pack should be hit for the best chance at good results. The hit precision speed and spin makes for better numbers in the...

My favorite story is the flip side. I was trailing 6-2 going to 7 in the point match of the big event. My thought was reflection of Tin Cup wisdom. As I racked the balls the last time, my thought was "Don't worry about looking helpless, you've already done that. How about if I don't just hand...

Ronnie O'Sullivan...Snooker's GOAT...He just made 147 in Saudi tourney

Well he got 2 going to 6 today. Going to 10 tomorrow 3 seems possible. 🤷‍♂️ 😉 For sure I will be watching. What ever time it will be here when it starts.

This topic just brought back memories of in the beginning. Must have been the early 80s when I got my introduction to 9 ball with the Big Guns at the White Spot in Fife, WA. I was green and totally intimidated by the top players of the North Wet. I recall thinking, "I will be fine as soon as...

    $1200 Dufferin?!

Uh No! The skilled cue Smith could have the knowledge and skills to make one from broken bar cues. (Well cured wood is best for shafts) Roger Petit had the skills and knowledge. He had a waiting list for his sneaky Pete's. Mine was $60 and ivory ferrule another 35 🤷‍♂️. I did tip him. Bill...

That gives me a flashback to the movie Top Gun and " I could tell you but then I would have to kill you." 🤷‍♂️

Wow!!! Well that similar to my pressure with the individual fingers during the stroke. A stroke on the exact same line can produce a different path with different finger pressure on the cue. Barry Stark's mention of the ring finger has helped me significantly. I tap the ring finger on my bridge...

That was my experience with sports in school. The football star had so much natural talent that he excelled at physical tasks the first try. Well everything except bull riding. He did try it though. 🤷‍♂️ at 6 foot and 210 lbs he just wasn't built for that. I, on the other side of the natural...

In high school the senior football star needed geometry to graduate and get his scholarship. He hadn't passed geometry.. So the senior was in my sophomore geometry class. The teacher seated him next to me. I was careful to keep my arm out of the way during the tests. He got the answers. I got...

Best All-Around Production Cue for ~$1000 (Value, Playability, Durability, Support)?

That reminds me of the cue Efren used when he first came to the US of A back in 84. Or was it 85? Well coming from The Philippines it was probably $15. 😉

I just stumbled upon an article about a person's inner thoughts. Kind of tangential to the topic but interesting. Mental password tech the password part reminds me of certain words I "think" to keep my focus. The "thrill of victory" experienced too soon can lead to, "the agony of defeat". (A...

If and when I made an extremely difficult shot, I would immediately think, "if I don't get out that shot didn't happen." For me it was all too easy to celebrate the shot when the goal is not yet attained. It's such a bitter taste to miss the easy one after making the difficult one. 🤷‍♂️

Big Thumb Up. Practicing the process, trains the focus. Going from practice to competition charges variables and adds distractions. By practicing the process it becomes habit and all my focus can be directed to the desired results. A favorite quote is, "I shoot so good I could get a Nun to...

When "In The Zone" I have devoted all my facultys to the immediate problem. One shot at a time. I have on a couple of occasions had a player compliment an early shot in the run out. I just say, "thank you" and have no memory of any shots other than the last. I even had a comment regarding my...
