    CF Sanding Screwup

Oh, btw, not the best....but Def better than what it was. 5min epoxy with some graphite powder to make it black, spread on with a poker card, then 400 grit - 2000 grit wet sand and buffed. 🤷‍♂️

    CF Sanding Screwup

Well, the change in angle was on purpose. The cue it's going on is a McDermott that's a little fatter in the joint than the cf shaft. Also, I have no issues posting screw ups. How else is anybody gonna learn? And don't give me that...let em find out on their own...BS. if this post helps...

    CF Sanding Screwup

I have some 423 graphite powder and some epoxy, see if I can mix some up and tape off the shaft and thin a layer on with a poker card. See if that works 🤷‍♂️

    CF Sanding Screwup

Sanded a little too much on my 1st shaft, and it created this wavy ring. What can I do to fix or hide the blemished area? It's smooth as can be, just ugly. TYIA, Nathan Brugmann

I'd like to know as well. So far my research has come up with a spray polyurethane insulation foam, but that was from a post a few years ago, i don't know if that's changed or not. 🤷‍♂️

    Pricing 6' dovetail lathe bed.

Hi, I'm trying to find a piece of 6' dovetail. I've tried Google, the search here, metal supply stores. I just can't find it. There has to be a supply store or somewhere to get it. I've already got a price from Chris, looking for other options as well. TYIA, Nathan Brugmann

    Motor going out or brushes?

Ace hardware had a couple that fit the brush holders. Little longer than the stock ones, and the springs are quite a bit longer...but they work. The motor has new life to it. Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions guys!

    Motor going out or brushes?

I don't have pics, can't figure how to load a vid. But I was doing alot of sanding and have had the motor since 2009. Its a DC 1/2 hp? motor, it started sputtering acting like it didn't want to spin, and in the back you can see spark flashes through the air slots. Opinions? Tyia, Nathan...

Is an explosion proof fan needed?

I've been using a HVLP spray gun with a water based urethane. Would a regular wall mounted exhaust fan be ok for the overspray, or would I need an explosion proof fan? TYIA, Nathan Brugmann
