    Funny pic/gif thread...

It could be both offensive and inoffensive at the same time! 😁

Anyone notice the quality of major brands of tips going down?

Nope. I'm completely happy with the tips I use. They're much better and a lot more consistent than the LePros I played 40 years ago...

    Frenchman's Cue Site

That's pretty cool. Thanks for posting it.

    Congress should pass a law

You know, they have numbers on those things... Having said that, I feel your pain!

    fargo rate not changing??

Being "somewhat of a hustler" in most average bars isn't probably too much north of a low 400's Fargo... 😁

    Congress should pass a law

Wait, wait, wait! One caveat. The 5 ball must be orange!

Tipping tournament directors - do you tip on calcutta amount as well?

I've never tipped a TD. Good grief, when did that become a thing? They're already taking a piece of the entry fees... I will give some jelly to a player who won me money out of the Calcutta...

    1P question

You accepted and paid a price. One ball and BIH to your opponent. Nothing at all wrong with that. There are any number of times when an intentional scratch is a good option...

    New pool website

Nice? Two rooms in the entire country with little more than an address and phone number so far? What am I missing?

Curious-Do Fargo ratings differ by location?

Not really. The most popular Fargo limited tournaments are either U 500 or U 600. Until your "recreational" player exceeds a 600 Fargo, there are an absolute TON of tournament/events available to them. The vast majority will never sniff the low 500's, let alone 600...

O.B. Spotter. The ultimate billiard practice machine!

An interesting concept. I agree though. The price point seems high for the benefit. Then again, most of us have probably paid more for less, so...

    It should be a foul…

It completely depends on who owns the crack in question... ^^^ Case in point ^^^

A New Pool game...? Yes... Look inside...

2 months and we still haven't even been told the "problem" that it will allegedly solve. 50/50 that this was nothing more than some kid doing a quick year end project for his sophomore marketing class...

Are we all playing with the same leather (layered / solid) tip after 4-6 months?

My best estimate is that between leagues, tournaments, and casual play, I probably average 8 hours of play a week. Call it 400+ hours a year. I get about 18 months out of a HOW medium tip.

    Non-abrasive bridge hand powder?

Keep your shaft and hands clean and there's no need for a glove. It's worth noting that a lot of pool rooms, or even bars with good equipment, don't allow the use of powder.

Do old Meucci cues play better than the new Meucci’s?

Nice! Congrats on a bit of pool history there. I still have two Meuccies from the mid-80's. One has sat in the trunk of my Florida car for 30 years as a " just in case" cue and is still dead straight. Neither will ever be for sale.

Journey to join the Pro tournaments ?

Yep I have friends in the +1/+2 hcp range, they can't cash a $500 check on one of the 100's of dinky little professional mini tours. The comparison isn't even close.

Journey to join the Pro tournaments ?

Write the check and you can get into an awful lot of them... If you're curious as to whether you have the chops to compete, you probably don't. But to get a better idea, ask the best player in your local room to play a set for a decent piece of change. Enough to get him interested. You'll...
