So What Does One Do When They Don't Have a Decent Local Mechanic...?

Mark Gregory can rework them. I shipped my GC rails off to him and they came back perfect. I would not have let anyone local do that type of work. www.perfectpocketz.com

Ball Holder solution for a GC 4

Havent run into it so far. Time will tell! The balls don't sit so well in the slots above the rack holder area. And to be honest it's easier to just peek down there in the tray to see the ball count. True with the divider, did not consider that.

Ball Holder solution for a GC 4

Picked this up, or I should say it arrived this week. The factory ball holding area leaves alot to be desired, lets be honest. I was using a Diamond metal wire ball holder but the screw holes fell out funny so I gave this a go. Fits the bill for sure and priced right. Solidly built, three...

    QUICK CLEAN TABLE CLEANER

Yes, I have been using it on my GC with 860HR for about a year. Clean it every Friday. Still have two full cans before I have to re-order. I'll be honest, I was told it has silicone in it and I've done zero research to find out. "They" told me it'd stain and leave marks. However, I vacuum the...

Ali Express Billiard Ball Cleaner? Anyone seen or used one?

I took the plunge on the Diamond dual platter and haven't looked back. Works wonders, quiet and looks more like a piece of furniture than anything. After owning it it's the only one I'd buy. Or the single platter if $$$ is a concern.

    J. Flowers JF-BK2 review

Ordered from the J Flowers website. Order was filled by a company in Florida. Billiards Warehouse, I believe. Cue arrived in soft velvet like case with Joint Protectors and a certificate of authenticity. Wrap is leather but has some grip to it. Shaft is carbon, phenolic tip and cue has a...

Carbon Fiber shafts change hit from butt to butt

An older Predator 8pt full splice cue I used with a 314-2 for years hits absolutely terribly with a Revo. Put a 314-2 on it and the greatness returns. With the Revo the feel is what is lacking. Very tinky. It shoots straight but the sound made it unbearable. Same exact Revo shaft on my wifes...

A Vigus with bridged points is on my very short list to own one day. That's an incredible looking cue.

    Pocket size?

I sent off my rails to Mark Gregory and went 4.5" Pro Cut on my GC4 and it's plenty tough. Almost went 4.25" but glad I went 4.5" in the end. It's on the 4-3/8" side of 4.5 though, lol. I have played on a 4" Diamond and its downright brutal for rotation. Once it's broken in shots down the rail...

Actual Brunswick Gold Crown iii vs Brunswick Centurion review

New cloth wouldn't let that 2-3 rail side pocket bank go on my GC4. Once it broke in it goes with ease. Also had new Superspeeds on the table. You can twist straight backs and all that stuff now.

    Break cue suggestions

It's a bit over the budget, but I just ordered a J Flowers JF-BK2. It's about $350 if you have the discount code.

GC1 Rail Rebuild and New Leveling System

Nice table? What size corners you go with? And the leveling system is pretty neat. Every time I see work done by Jack it's superb. He's one of the maybe 4 people I'd have redo rails for me, no doubt. On the SL7 thing, I started APA as an SL4 in 2005 and was an SL7 by Fall 2008. Just played alot.

    Diamond Open - Aiken, SC

Which table? If it's the Red Label, Dymondwood they used for the Alex/Tony stream then yes. The pockets are 4".

    Simonis 860 versus HR

I have 860 HR Tourney Blue on my GC and love it. Gets 10-15 hours a week on it all year, all types of games, and it is track lined out from breaking and such. Plays great but it's only been on for a little over 1 year.
