What makes a custom cue expensive?

I sold one of your cues to a friend who called you about building an 8" rear extension. When the pandemic hit I bought the cue back and basically got a free extension. You treated him nicely and did a good job on that extension system. Thanks

    Best Cue Joint?

I would go with a 3/8-8 radial wood to wood instead of this weird ball joint 7 thread deal. From a playability standpoint 3/8-8 radial wood to wood is as good as any, you can't go wrong, and you have interchangeability with several shafts as well as shafts available from the secondary market...

Best Cue Case For $200 or less?

I have an Acme case by Omega. 4x8, someone shipped cues to me in it, and I like the case. Acme is not as robust as the JB Rugged but I like the way the interior is laid out, and for the money they look like decent cases.

What makes a custom cue expensive?

I've always said it's the arrow, not the Indian. The better the arrow, the better I play. It gets down to how much you want to spend in order to pocket balls. Justin, after years of collecting cues with hundreds of cues going through my hands, this is why cues are expensive: $10,000+ cues never...

    Changes in the bump rules

No limit, but it's considered common courtesy to limit sale threads to a few per day, maybe 5. We don't need the guys who think they found a free Ebay making post after post while pushing everybody off the front pages. The wanted/for sale was intended to sell used, custom, and collectible...

On A SS joint cue would you use a softer tip compared to a wood to wood joint

For the most part it doesn't matter, especially at normal stroking velocities. When you really drill the ball there is more going on and maybe a harder tip would feel and hit better than a soft tip. Basically when I'm in stroke I like a hard tip, out of stroke like now I like a softer tip, the...

    Golden West pool table opinions?

For several years I played on two different in-house pool leagues that played on Golden West 7ft and 9ft. I definitely played my best pool of those tables, but I still prefer a Gold Crown. The Golden-West tables were easy to run racks on, and in league I couldn't miss. When league was over even...
