He hasn't posted anything new in about 2 months. I like his stuff and wish he would get back into it.

Amateur pool with josh Powell you tube page! And apa shenanigans

Poolside chat is just ok. He seems to think that he is much better than he really is, which comes across poorly in his videos. I liked the way that Drew Von Port laid out graphics on the table to discuss position lanes and zones. Anthony (On the Snap) is probably the best of the group and is...

Amateur pool with josh Powell you tube page! And apa shenanigans

I've watched a few PDN vids, but just can't get onboard. It was a lot of complaining about how he hates 8ball. Which is fine, except he signed up to play in an 8ball league.

    Right Handed vs Left Handed

    No.

    Right Handed vs Left Handed

In general, not great. He missed it short by 3/4 of a diamond. On a 7 footer.

    Right Handed vs Left Handed

I play on Tuesday nights in a league with 3 other guys. One of them, let's call him Bob, is left handed. When he makes a questionable play, myself and one other on the team will discuss it with him after his match. Sometimes we will call a timeout to go over a shot, as well. Without fail...

Best Advice Ever For Straight-In Shots?

That there is no such thing. Stop thinking of it as straight in, and think of it as a very slight cut shot that is the same as all the rest. When you give a certain type of shot (straight in) that added nervous attention, it becomes a problem shot. Edit: Not trying to sound preachy. That is...

Aiming while standing up or aiming while down ??

Aim while up, step into the shot and get down. Make MICROadjustments while down. Give a quick, "yep, that's it" and deliver the cue straight. If at any point you need to adjust anything other than a millimeter or two, get up and start over.

Another cool feature would be to be able to place the cue ball where it ended up on position drills after a miss to track what your tendencies are.

Awesome, thanks. As to manually setup a practice session, I think it would be nice to be able to select 8 or 10 different drills that you want to work on that day with a way to track your progress as opposed to just setting up outside of the app.

It would be nice to be able to mark a particular drill/shot as one you want to go back to. Or maybe a list of drills that you can select your own practice session for the day. Maybe in the premium version?

Really well done! The level of detail that went into this app is really above and beyond for a first Gen release. I've only done the initial assessment and s fee drills so far, but I really enjoy the way this is designed. I'll report back on a couple of weeks, as well.

Just downloaded it based on the reviews here. I will set it up and check it out tonight and post feedback.

Pool cue components or styles that you are not a fan of.

Anything fancy. I like sneaky style or fairly plain.

    Dechaine vs Krause

I'd take Bergman over Mike if we are talking about regularly competing.

How many of you steal chalk from the pool hall?

I bought Taom for my home table since it is so much cleaner than Masters. Ever since then, I just bring my own and put it in my pocket while playing. A long time ago, I would grab a piece off the table if I was short on chalk. I'm certain I left more than I took, though.

Measle ball is a training ball

It really doesn't. As bbb pointed out, the spots rest at random places every shot. That has been explained many times above. We have. There are many players, myself included, who are the guy or friend you are referencing. None of us notice any difference in shot making ability or cueball...
