Break Cue (very hard tip) Tip Tool Roughener

No break tip performs better when scuffed. It’s literally going against the laws of physics. It’s your stroke, not the tip.

    Jackpot Cue

I’m sorry but you’re a hypocrite to the extreme. You’ve spent years going around these forums bullying everyone possible. I grew tired of it and called you out years ago, and for a brief period, you did get better. But now you’re back to your same old ways. You instigate a fight, you instigate...

    Black Kamui SS Tips

The clear pad is not flat and needs to be sanded flat. They should both be the exact same leather, but the clear is obviously going to be taller. Acoustically they sound different.

Really nice looking cue, that is known to be a really cheap brand.

Because Schon’s ‘points’ are more like inlays. The round of the point is due to the end mill used to cut the pocket. That round end mill is what will ‘overcut’ the inlays pocket at the sharp corners of the inlay. In terms of your second cue, get a brighter flashlight and shine the light right on...

Really nice looking cue, that is known to be a really cheap brand.

I could tell you exactly what the difference is, but look at them yourself. What is the key difference between the two in how their inlays are constructed.

Really nice looking cue, that is known to be a really cheap brand.

First off, for a cue to have sharp point inlays there is either a tooling option to make the pockets accept that sharp point. Or time to hand clean up the pocket to accept that sharp point inlay. This is obviously not a tooling adjusted one, one would see the epoxy filled void left. And the...

    Re finish question

Things you’ll run into: Gloss of the finish may not match if just a small repair is done. Clarity of the finish may be off. Old finish may have yellowed. Toughness of the finish coat between what you’re doing and what’s there. I just live with finish blemishes until there’s a massive...

    Been getting 502 errors again

That’s because the servers cookie for auto login it sends to your computer gets screwed up. Glad other people finally chiming in with the right answer. Log out, log back in. No need to clear your cache, or saved passwords.

Another how would you shoot it thread

It’ll only scratch in the side with a rolling top. Use enough top and it’ll grab the bottom rail to come long of the side.

    10-32 Tuff Nut

The time and effort to mill new nuts outweighs the cost of just buying the ‘too big stem’ nuts. Unless you can mill a thousand or so to sell them. It’d be wiser to just buy replacements for the ones you have now and just sell off the old ones.

    Youtube comment insidepoolmag?

You do not understand why things are the way they are. So rather than asking in a sane manner, you went the ‘Karen’ route. Stop complaining about what they’re doing and we’ll stop trashing your whiney butt.

    10-32 Tuff Nut

Wouldn’t it be easier to open up the cross slide part and just use the ones that are ‘too big’ on the top part? Seems to be the easier route than trying to mill new nuts.

    Ripped off?

How is the cue “not as described”? New from maker or second hand ‘new’? Realize that the courts are not on your side here.

How do you cross-bank this shot

Well is it easier to understand for you this way: you’ve never played on a Chinese pocket billiards table. So to claim he shot the wrong shot would be akin to speaking out your ass.

Clutch Shooting Percentage (CSP): A New Cue Sports Stat (sabermetric)

That’s not how stats work there bud. If I spend 10% of an 8 hour shift on a 50 hour project, then I can make your stats work. But if it’s kept in the realm of one work day, like one game of pool. Then everything you’re trying to explain breaks. You’re not as smart as you think. Go take a 300...

Clutch Shooting Percentage (CSP): A New Cue Sports Stat (sabermetric)

Your logic is miles off. If a 5-10% portion of a players game doesn’t have a 5-10% impact on whatever performance metric you want to use. It’s flawed. There have been matches won and lost on safeties. This entire ‘formula’ is craptastic. Please go back to the pool table and learn how to play...

    Replacing handle on a cue

Don’t have exact changes on hand, but it went from being 29” to 30”. So I was expecting some weight gain. I changed it from accepting a weight bolt to slugs only. In anticipation of making an extension with a 3/8-16 pin. Cue had a mild(.014”) runout at the A-joint. Couldn’t get it perfect, .003...

    ferruleless shafts

Considering terminology is backwards, a shaft deflects and a cue ball squirts. It should make a stiff/ivory ferrules shaft ‘low deflection’ and a whippy/light front end shaft be ‘high deflection’. But unlike golf, pool players aren’t chasing a high CoR shaft for playing like they do for drivers...
